I certainly would not be surprised if in a few years time this becomes a tradition. After all, we’ve got the white dress, the best man, brides maids, flower girls, usher, blah blah blah. So yeah, I’m almost expecting it. Even though I pray it never happens.

If you’re going to have sex the first night I can’t really see the big deal with a **light **(ie sweet/respectful) kiss after nikah..
My brother was told ‘you may now kiss the bride’ at his registry do and he just gave her a peck on the cheek.. it doesn’t necessarily have to look awkward or inappropriate even for practising/religious Muslims..

as far urdu is concerned it would be something like this:
“pesh raft kijiye aur apni ahliyah ko zer-e-lab bosa’inaayat kijiye”
how about giving the instruction to the bride? it would then be like this:
****be-sharmii se pesh raft kijiye aur apne shauhar-e-naa-muraad **[oops! naamdaar] bosa bar lab 'inaayat kijiye

Ok I haven’t been to a wedding where the bride is wearing a white dress, but I’m sure it’s the next big thing, lol. As for the rest of the things I mentioned - yup, seen it.
And if there is a ‘you may now kiss the bride’ moment, I will get up and walk out because I just have little tolerance for that kind of stuff. What would the parents tell their kids?? I would love to know what the kids would have to say about it though, lol.
