Who has 'em? What do guys think about them? I personally find them SEXEH! I got mine done when I was 15, went w/ a friend to get it done together. I wear a tiiiiiiny stud which just glitters when the light hits the diamond stud and I LOVE the look of it. I find the trend amongst desis back home slowly vanishing and it makes me sad to see that none of my cousins, even married ones with kids, don’t have one. Heck, even my younger phuhpos/mumanis in their 30s don’t have them. They got it for their weddings so they could wear a nath and took it out soon after.
I am not a fan of naths but I love nose studs and will def. keep mine forever. What do you guys think about them? How popular are they in your family and in your friend circle? I happened to get one and at least 4-5 friends later on went to get them as well so they are quite common in my friend circle.
I have wanted one for agessssssssss! My mom won’t let me Infact just recently i got myself 2 fakes ones and i wore one yesterday and everyone said it looked nice buhhhhhhhhhhh mom’s like no :nono:. She says yeh pehen k shauk pura kar lo….
Oh and i like nose studs too and the nose rings too :p I guess most people dnt like the nose rings cuz they think it looks kinda creepy but i find it HOT!!!
cuz she says it luks weird n she is nt the only one. alot of other people tell me yes its not considered “good” for girls 2 wear it cuz it gives a wrong impression .
^WHAAAAT!? It doesn’t give the right impression? In my family it used to be considered “traditional” hence it’s not an issue. I can’t believe your mom thinks that. =( Wasai, do you guys happen to be from KHI? I dont know any KHI girls that get their nose pierced.
^ haha, nahi yar! I m a pakki Lahori. My mom doesnt think that but she knows people do hence . Actually my sis got hers done few yrs back and she got infection and thats precisely more the reason why mom doesnt let me cuz she knows i have a super sensitive skin and even get issues with my ear piercings :(.
i la la love my nose studs, i don’t think i would look the same without it i got it done at the age of 17 but i closed 3 times since my nose is very sensitive in a weird way so yea i got it done 3 times already i’ll do it another 50 times if i have to all my friends and cousins have one i love the small ones the big gold flower looking ones actually really irritate me
My mom doesn't like nose piercings and neither does my sister, but she never stopped me from getting it done, though she never encouraged me either. I saw a piercing parlour at the mall...one of the few that pierced noses with a gun, which I preferred (needles freak me out)....and my dad encouraged me to get it done.
As for the vanishing trend......I think it's one of those things where it'll fade out for a while and then come back strong again. I cut my hair pretty short, so I'm not wearing it these days as i think it won't suit it well. As for how it looks on me...I'm not too fond of my nose...so there are days when I think it looks alright and other days when I feel like not wearing it anymore, lol.
When i told my mum i wana have a nose pierce at the age of 18 she was like “Whaaaaaat!!!” cuz probably no one in my khandaan ever has it…but luckily i got it done and every other person in my family wants to have it now lol and i litrelly cant imagine my face without my nose stud..it indeed looks sexii!! I even wore a ring? type one but it made me look really B----Y lol so i think i will stick to my stud for a life!!!

Exactly how I feel. I have a very paki-fied nose. Therefore i dont want to draw too much attention to it by wearing sparkly things on it :(
i got one when i was 18 i think so 6 years ago, and it's still very common in my family including back in Pakistan, but i stopped wearing a stud 2/3 years ago so now you can't even see i used to have a piercing. my guy sometimes asks me why did i stop wearing it so i guess he liked it and i think guys generally like it too
its so common in my family back home (in Lahore), I got mine done at 19..in fact my mom dragged me to the jewelry shop to have it pierced lol. Unfortunately something went wrong there and it ended up getting infected and weird so I had to take it out....when I was in pakistan a few months later I had it re-done....I never had an infection thank God...the only thing that annoys me is that if I dont' wear a pin for a few days, its very difficult to get the pin back in again.....I found this out after I had to remove it for a job :(
