sometimes it is too hard and i go to another thread…sometimes I make the effort to try to understand and ask if only a little is obscur to me…anyway when theree is enough english in the thread it helps me learn more urdu…so thank you all:) to teach me urdu!!
abhi main kafi urdu samajh sakti hoon:blush:
I speak urdu but not that good and mix half of my urdu with english. I find it quite hard to follow the written urdu typed in english that we find on these forums. Its a pity because I just end up ignoring the thread even though it may be quite interesting. ..
Laisy_Daisy, Lately there is a myth circulating that all goodmen are either married or they show no sensual interest in ladies … Well that is quite a mythical to say the least.
And you while living in the Land of Gentlemen believed in such a myth is rather obscure for me
Anyway, next step for you … is to understand poertry !
URDU poetry is Fantastic
Just a specimen for you

I think people get dissapointed when they run over a thread that's in urdu and cant read it. They probably move on to the next thread. I ran over a website one time and it was on ali zafar and his family, but all was in urdu. I started readin it but there was so much written and it took so long that I just gave up and moved on. Cuz I could read it but not fast enough, it took so long, and the writting was messed up too.
Who's recipe did you diss now Mr OG? Most recipes in Life require a standard half litre of cooking oil. If you attempt to cook something with any less oil, the results might be very different than expected.

Sometimes the roman urdu goes above my head but my girl friend and her brother always help. You may call people like me as USL (Urdu as Second Language) students. I mostly avoid urdu replies or posts.
Although I'm a Pakistani, but my Urdu is getting very rusty. Whenever I come across some Urdu posts, I try to give it a shot, but after wasting 2-3 minutes on it, I simply just move on...My nine cents.
avoiding is not the way to learn:D…first i hit my head on the wall, then look again…then read very slowly pronouncing it loud in my head to try to make sense…then if nothing works i rely on nice guppies to translate…
and I am a UFL!! (urdu as a fifth language:rolleyes: )
then sooner or later gori like me will speak better urdu than you…

On that day We shall treat you with Gulab jaman, Ras malai, and doodh jalebi
( I hope you had delicacies in Pakistan ) and we shall award you **Tamgha-e-husn-Karkardagi **aka Pride of performance :k: this would work as glucose for Non-Urdu speaking ABCDs
