My hubby is very nice.. but he is not romantic at all.. tell me what to do.. i dont want him to sing love songs for me but at least i deserve a text msg of " i miss u" etc when he is away or i go living to my mom’s place for a day or two..

but if he is young and he is acting like this then maybe he minded something you did or said? maybe he is annoyed about soemthing?

Some men are just like that and that includes me. I am just not a romantic person. I don't find much pleasure in romantic convos and did not run around looking for flirts when most of my college mates did. It by no menas mean that i am not attracted to women.

You have to train em, but sometimes it just doesnt come to men and it can be very hurtful to a woman. Tell him it would make you sooo happy if he merely uttered those 3 words.

He might not be comfortable speaking about his feelings. It may feel embarrassing to him, even in front of his wife. It may also feel disengenuous to him when he's just responding to you. Like it looks like he's saying "I miss you" or "I love you" just because you did, and not of his own accord.
Rather than telling him what you'd like him to say, maybe just ask him to give you some indication that he's thinking of you when you're apart. It's up to him to decide what it is.
Like most other men he might also be losing his pants, shirts and undergarments in the stock market. Give him a break he will come around when the market rebounds. If its not that then maybe some of you girls smelling like fried onions all the time is killing the romance. Maybe... just maybe the problem is not with the man but you?

I agree buy a magic wand they sell at hobby store. That will do its magic and he will change.

Now that is a nice suggestion , send him to a puppy training school. They do a good job at training non affectionate kind to show their love by licking your shoes.

My hubby is not romantic either. But he is a great husband and father, actually the BEST! When he DOES say or do something romantic, it means so much more because I know he really really means it. If you force it out of them, it can be hollow because they're only complying with something demanded of them.

Anyway back to your troubles, i guess all i can say is if he isn't, you should be taking the lead and show him the error of his ways, perhaps suggest OR better yet you yourself should organise some romantic getaway for a weekend perhaps, knockwood it'll hit home and he'll open up and realise women feel short changed if there isn't a romantic aspect to their relationship. i'll stop there with my suggestions, i'm thru giving free advice. :@:

Is it just me who thinks that a guy who says love you miss you subha sham is just way too cheesy and lame?!?!!? According to Life 1 standards, I live a pathetic life with my husband!!! 
Does he respect you? Does he care about you? Does he treat your family right? If your answer is yes, you are golden.. if answer is no to any of these questions, then there is a lot that you need to work on for your marriage!!! Good luck!!

This is not an ideal world, so every package will have its own plus and minus. If you think he is a good husband then be greatful to Allah becuz many girlz are not blessed with such creatures !

If he has alway been non-romantic then you should not force him to do something against his basic personality. You will then be here asking for advice on bigger problems!
If he used to be romantic and then has changed then you should try to evaluate what could have made him change and definetly need to communicate with him.
