i have noticed this has become very common in hindi films, for example a newly released film TEHZEEB shows arjun rampal praying namaaz who is a katter kafir in real life these indians r without wuzu (ablution) and they touch our janemaaz and wear our topi and sit in qadaa ula/akheera just for a scene, which is very wrong in my opinion!!!
is there any reference to this kind of bai-adabi or issues of such sort in the quran -e- paak or any hadiths or islamic books et cetera…
While islamically you cant really say its wrong for them to immitate the muslims (in this case pretending to pray in a movie without wadu and stuff), i find it generally wrong that prayer is shown incorrectly in many movies.
Anyone remember 13th Warrior ? The 'muslim' character played by Banderas does a mock of a prayer and then proceeds to pray to Allah by refering to him as the holy father. Hehe..now that was funny and sad at the same time since anyone who knows anything knows that islam and christian beliefs donot mix together.
One thing i would object against vehemently would be non muslims touching the Quran without being pak (wadu) but im not sure if there's any islamic ruling on that matter.

hmmmm, from the little i know, i am not aware of Quran or Hadiths mentioning anything on arjun rampal praying namaz or salman khan wearing a topi while in jail. im also not aware of any mullah giving any fatwa on this issue either. infact there is no mention of bollywood or any other wood in quran or hadith. sorry.
and btw, why u getting so upset, its only a movie, who cares what they say about muslims or kargil or monkeys?
What I find disrespectful is when a half naked Indian prostitute shakes her boobs and takes the name of God Subhanahu wa ta'ala like Allah or Rabb etc. or the name of our fourth Imam Ali (radhi allahu anhu)
Prayer mat or prayer cap is not sacred in it self, so a disbeliever touching it is not as issue. Why do we Pakistanis like to treat all things related to religion as sacred, like I see people wiping rosaries over their eyes and kissing them it’s only beads man, or kissing Koran stands it’s only two pieces of wood, or kissing the prayer mat when it’s only a rug.

Yeah. Welcome to the Deen of PAK. Prayer mats reminded me. Why
we have pictures of sacred places on our prayer mats. I just
cover the pictures and than pray.

Yeah that’s another thing, which really annoys me, every prayer rug/mat I have come across has a picture of The Sacred Mosque, The Prophets Mosque, The Dome of the Rock or some other Mosque, and it’s distracting…
I suppose some people have not quite grasped the reality of Islamic Monotheism and so they can’t yet concentrate on the Sovereign-Lord and therefore need something to keep them from getting bored in their Prayers, loll...
Islam is not about images, pictures and symbols, Allah will not share His glory with anyone or anything, even if they are images of Mosques, they have no power to benefit or harm us.

You mean the Imam kissing the prayer rug etc. or people kissing the Imam, loll? I wouldn’t be surprised if it does happen.
When I was in Rhodes I’ve seen stuff like that happening amongst Catholics, the Greeks tend to be quite religious, at least the ones we came across, they are very into this sort of stuff so on Sundays we go to their church thing for a laugh and they were like all kissing the Priests robe and rubbing it on their faces…
I suppose exaggerating the status of mortals and slowly turning them into deities or ascribing Devine attributes to them is one of Satan’s oldest ways of misguiding people away from Allah and His Monotheism.

No yaar, if ppl are kissing tasbeehs, and prayer rugs, and the book holders, because they think these things are holy, do they kiss the imam too? I guess it could be interesting depending on who is in the congregation then... thinking
