I am deeply concerned with what has happened to Malala … She has been used like a puppet by her own father and the West media machine … All she wants is to have trouble free schooling for girls … But she has been demanding this in the wrong way - a way that would inevitably mean that she becomes a target and also in a way that would nearly definitely ensure that it would not happen.
She used threatening language against the Taliban, presenting no argument forward from an Islamic point of view explaining WHY education for women is important. She could have done this … It is not her fault - she was under direction of her politically polarised father. She could have said …
“Leaders of the Taliban - I call on you in the name of Allah and send salutations on the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) … I pray that you hear me with tawfiq from Allah (SWT) and are sensitive to my plea … For such and such a reason {and then cites various ahadith} it is important to be true to Islam that we are allowed rather promoted to educate ourselves - so we can ensure an educated ummah. Please listen to my plea and if you listen to it you will be given the support from the people of this region”
