Meet the bigotry with full force of law
The attack on an Ahmadiyya mosque in Brahmanbaria just minutes before the call to Juma prayer on Friday during the holy month of Ramadan must be considered the height of ungodliness. The fact that the perpetrators could defile both themselves and the month of Ramadan by committing such a shameful act at such a time shows that they have little respect for the religion under whose banner they claim to be acting.

It has been reported that the attack consisted of hundreds of machete, axe, stick, and club-wielding fanatics storming the mosque, beating worshippers, and destroying the tin-roofed and bamboo-walled mosque. The hate-filled mob of around 1,000 then went on a rampage, vandalising and robbing Ahmadiyya houses, and injuring a dozen people, including women.

There are no words to describe our outrage at this act of predatory religious intolerance. The constitution and simple human decency mandate that people be secure in their right to worship.

This has gone too far. Anti-Ahmadiyya bigots have been active for the last twelve months, but this is the first time they have actually destroyed an Ahmadiyya mosque.

The government must not remain a mute spectator any more; it has a duty to protect the Ahmadiyya community. It must do everything in its power to prevent persecution taking place against them in any shape or form.

The government claimed that the ban on Ahmadiyya publications would help diminish anti-Ahmadiyya sentiments, but it is clear that this has emboldened the bigots and made the position of the Ahmadiyyas even more insecure.

Repealing the ban on their publications would be a good start, as would bringing to justice the perpetrators of Friday’s attack. The government must make clear that violence against Ahmadiyyas will be countered with the full force of the law. Nothing less is good enough.

There is a solution…Take your prophet and his teachings and give your faith a new name…You are not part of Islam and Islam will have nothing to do with you…The line of Prophets ended with Mohammed :saw: and the line of religions ended with Islam…If any prophet comes after that he is merely a false prophet as far as Islam is concerned…

No prophets are to rise within the lands of Islam if they attribute themselves to Islam…Islam was revealed by the Holy Prophet :saw: in its entirety…Islam has no room for your prophet or his followers…

I simply meant that there are many crimes against all Muslims ,even during Ramadan.We're only hurt/angered when those we care about are attacked.Its not about shame or Ramadan here, its all about hatred.We dont love our enemies in Ramadan anymore then the rest of the year -its not possible.So no I dont think these attacks have much to do with it being the Holy Month.

Different sects are another issue altogether.Im not an Ahmadi. :o

It's all about numeical superiority ahmadjee.. if u guys were more in number .. the oppression would be the other way around..

Lajawab, at least don't be like the hypocrites who condone this violence and then do not take part in it themselves. The same Mullah who told you that ruining mosques is Jihad will also tell you that Jihad is faraz.

PA, your assumption isn’t true. In many African countries there are cities with majority of Ahmadi Muslims, with Christians being the second in %age. Yet, there have never been any incidence of violence or intimidation.

Depends on which Mullah you are talking about…Is it a HT Mullah, JI Mullah, JM Mullah or an SS Mullah…I am quite picky which Mullah to follow and whether what he is saying falls under the Quran and Sunnah…And according to each Farayiz are different…

Now your article doesn’t mention which org your Mullah belonged to, otherwise I’d let you know…

And no…I am not a destroyer…I would have kicked the Ahmedis out and turned that mosque into a Masjid…Where real Islam is taught…Why waste resources…:jhanda:

why does this jihad thingy only work on people who are weaker than you? ahmedi minorities.. poor helpless Christian sweepers?. unguarded shias praying in mosques?

When it comes time to face bunker busters and fight like a man u guys are seen running with your tails between your legs hiding in caves and holes, crossing borders or hunkering down in schools and mosques .. under women's burqas..

PA: To jump from a 30 story building and say Allah :swt: is the Protector is 'tupidity…Even the Holy Prophet :saw: said, ‘Trust in Allah but tie your camel first’…

There will come a time :insha: when Muslims will fight openly in the battlefields…Right now dying from the hands of someone sitting 1,400 miles away and presing a button is 'tupidity too…

And like always, like an informed and honest person you do have proof of these guys killing Christians and Shias…If not, hush little baby…

there place of worship is not a mosque....

if fitnah is feared to arise from that buidling (as was in the case of masjid dhiraar) it shud be brought down....

armaghul, at least do the fatwa and history right. Masjid-e-Dahr was brought down because of direct wahi from Allah swt as to what goes on in there. It wasn't brought down on suspicion.

If it was a open invitation to bring down places of worship on suspicion, than it would have been followed in times of the Khulafa (ra) as well. Who brought down the mosques of those who favored the opposers of Hazrat Usman (ra) or Hazrat Ali (ra)?

You don't even believe that Allah can communicates to normal people (Mullah included), how can you then claim of such knowledge of unknown?

killing musailma kazaab and other false prophets and their followers was also not directed by a wahee from Allah....
it was acted upon by muslims' judgement....
ahmadees fall in the same class of false prophets....
