Musilma Kazaab was killed because he refused to pay Zakat (tax) to the state and was armed, threatening & challenging the elected Khalifa (or head of state). Such offense in any country even today will have the Special Forces hunt you down.
If you didn’t know he married a woman from modern day Iraq who also claimed to be a prophetess but she didn’t challenge Hazrat Abu Bakar (ra) and so was not harmed at all.
Muslim_Queen,
The reason I said ‘No Shame in Ramadan’ is because these bigots actually boasted to do that in the blessed month of Ramadan. They are planning to do more in the last ashra hoping to receive maximum sawab. You can search in Google News and find quiet few articles about them.
so let me get it straight Lajawab.. the Prophet and his army of believers fighting against an enemy many times in size and strength was an act of ‘stupidity’ and not a shining example of trust in Allah?
btw that saying may be some old Arab proverb or even greek for that matter.. (replace Camel with indiginous burden bearing beast).
Allah has promised believers with a victory when they remain steadfast.. I’m sure He knows the posers pretending to fight “in His way” have no spine.. but are just bullys who can only be a nuisance to helpless minorities.
There doesn’t seem to me to be any time where these “Muslims” will actually walk the walk instead of doing all the yapping’.. so feel free to denounce your residence in the kaffir countries and go back to Ummah land to gather up your forces.. the Lord shall be sendin’ some guided smartbombs over shortly ..

Yet ,here you are taunting Lajo.(Shall I comment on the 'shame in ramadan')The fact is- thick headed people will do what they think they should. The majority of Sunni Muslims are sensible people. They do not go around bombing up Ahmedis. This is one rare case among hundreds of others...which are/were against ALL Muslims. You cant blame the majority of Muslims for getting angry when others go around trying to change the religion of Islam themselves.
PakistaniAbroad-- If you think that its ridiculous for certain individuals to hide in caves, well then I suggest you comment on those who bomb and kill innocents. If those you look up to are real men, why dont they take up arms and go do their own dirty work themselves? Bombing from planes and such are actions of cowards. This whole issue stems from fear and paranoia anyway.
that's some jihaad.. or at least the vulgar interpretation of it for self serving goals.
That is not Jihad.Look it up again.Maybe you'll get it right the next time around.
MQ, I didn't blame Muslims, you took it that way. I blame the bigots who happen to be Muslims & claim on getting extra sawab for it in Ramadan. Have you noticed that you are a minority in this thread?

u got it wrong....
the zakat deniers were a separate group....
musailma kazaab and his partner (a female false prophet) were fought cuz of the false prophethood claims....
i know my history well.... :0
perhaps u shud urself look further into the history than thinking it all started from mirza ghulam ahmed's coming....
M - he was a liar. It doesn't mean he was killed because of that. Just like Abu Jahil used to torture converts but no one went to kill him in his house, or abducted him to ask for ransom. Instead he was killed in the bettle ground where he took up arms against a Muslim government. Any government would do that.
MQ - at least you condemned the attacks, while the majority is justifying it. Now you can argue that they don’t represent the majority of Muslim (Sunni or otherwise) and I will agree.
Romans and Persians don't have to pay Zakat as they were not under the Muslima administrative area. Musailmah have to pay the Zakat because he was under the Muslim administrative area. Your logic is flawed. and Secondly he rebeled against the central Muslim government of Medinah and gathered a strong army of more than 40000. He also captured two companions of Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and killed one of them by choping his limbs one by one. These are the reasons for fighting Musailmah.
If you still think that Musailmah was fought just because of his false claim of prophethood and not the above ones then you should re-examine the history.
The Persians used to tax the Arab tribes on their borders inside the Arabian Peninsula in return to guarantee their safety. Which, in fact was mostly a lip service with the intent of milking money out of them. Much similar to how today USA gives UAE & other Middle Eastern countries the safety guarantee. When some of those tribes converted to Islam and started paying Zakat, they complained to Hazrat Abu Bakar (ra) of continued harassment from the governors of the neighboring Persia. To which he sent forces to protect them. The Persian governors took such a move as a threat to their safety and called on an all out war, thinking they can easily crush the Muslim Army. But the history tells us they were wrong.
The Byzantines (who were psudo-Romans i.e. Greek influenced Romans) had the same fate with similar consequences.
So, at least you agree that Musilma refused to pay the Zakat? Or are you still in denial?

Eventhough Ahmedis have nothing to do with Islam, not even by a long shot, this sort of action should be deplored.

Not only should these actions be deplored but also the "intolerance" of muslims towards other fellow muslims, whether they are red, white, blue or Ahmadi.
