Do you think human race would have been much more advanced if sex did not exist?
lol, I know the first reaction at this thought is always that in a sexless world there would be no humans, let alone the much more advanced ones.
But just for the sake of this topic, let’s say that the act of sex is not required for reproduction and humans (both males and females) don’t have any sexual needs, emotion, feelings or rituals. And some other method has taken care of the reproduction process.
In such a world, there are no love triangles, no saas/bahu fights, no jealousy, no sexual misdeeds and crimes, men not wasting their energies against other men in doing things to score the hottest woman or doing poondi, women not waiting for rishtas or spending their energies on ways to attract THE ONE. ‘Stay-at-home mom’ concept doesn’t exist, hence 90% less politics among women.
Sex is not a distraction at all and EVERYONE is giving there all energies to some creative activity they love, the field they enjoy. The progress in science and technology, research & developments is at peak in every industry and art. Every individual is striving to be the best they can in whatever they are doing.
Is sex that big of a distraction? Would we have been much more advanced than we are now?
In spite of the absence of sexual attraction, the other types of attraction still exist. However, as sexual attraction is one of the strong types of attraction, and as the unsuprreseble presence of it creates problems for both males and females, I agree that many of mankinds modern problems would simultaneously dissapear.
if ALLAH SWT wanted to create the world the one you have painted then it wasnt and it isnt hard for Him (SWT). He could have grow us the same way trees grow, especially given the fact that human is also made up of earth so coming out of earth like trees come out, shouldn't be hard for him.
but he didnt. and it shouldn't hard for one to figure out why He didnt do that.
Though i doubt that the removal of the world clothing industry would increase global welfare.
