The idea is very intriguiging but not acceptable.

Those who chase opposite sex persons and get rejected all the time will be very happy this way.

Yes, other types of emotions will still be there, but why blame sex for problems listed is not clear so far.

• If we didn't have sex, we wouldn't have (romantic) bonding among people.
• If sex wasn't such a driving force, people wouldn't "fall in love" or want to get married.
• People would just mate with whomever and the females would likely raise the kids on their own.
• There would be no such thing as life-long bonding among males and females (no monogamy).
• No monogamy means no families
• No family means no basic unit of belongingness and enormous difficulties in meeting our basic needs like food, shelter etc. It's difficult being a single mom.
• Father figures would be largely missing. (Even if we accept that fatherhood is evolutionarily ingrained among us, it still takes an enormous amount of effort and commitment to stay.)
• Men, especially, would be unaware of who their sons/daughters are.
• Violence and power struggles being a part of our nature would be at an all time high, as there would be no families and no sense of kinship to keep it in check.
• Societies wouldn't develop.
• We wouldn't be where we are technologically.

That's some of what would happen if we didn't have to have sex and experience the feelings/desires surrounding it. So, accept the blessing that sex is! ;)

Well if there is no sex … then the “need” for sex would also be absent … and where there is no need - there no desire to do … Effort is expended by humans to fulfil their needs, sex is seen as a distraction but it is often seen as a motivator to succeed.

Why get loads of money, fast car, fame, etc … ??? Most people who do would answer in order to maximise their chances to get the best woman … that means sex.

To get these things effort is required in other areas … if the motivator was not there then why would they put the effort in?

… On the philosophical side … we would just channel our energies in other things and compete in other ways … it could well make no difference at all.

if ALLAH SWT wanted to create the world the one you have painted then it wasnt and it isnt hard for Him (SWT). He could have grow us the same way trees grow, especially given the fact that human is also made up of earth so coming out of earth like trees come out, shouldn’t be hard for him.

When you say that the motivation for sex makes us do things in other areas of life as well (money and honey stuff), are you saying sex is the ultimate/biggest motivator for us to do things in most (if not all) areas of life. … because that would bring us to a paradox of sex being the ultimate motivator as well as the biggest ‘distraction’ in life at the same time.

No inappropriate material would be available on the web and tv. People would only use them for entertainment and news. Men would not be staring at women and there would be no sexual harrasment. There would be no rape, women would be more safe and they would be contributing more towards the economic development. Men would not be spending so much money and time on grooming and attracting women and thus focussing more on their work. College and university students would be focussing more on their studies and thus becoming better professionals.

Why should the greatest motivator not be the greatest distraction?

There is the short cut which is the distraction - then there is proper or “nominal” way of getting it - which is the motivator. But I didn’t call it a distraction you did … I called it a motivator.

Sex can be a distraction to become successful, but in a similar way success can be a route to getting sex … if you want to put it crudely.
