I know, and this is exactly what is damaging not only Karachi as a city but Sindh (as a whole). Both parties know that they will keep their ethnic appeal to their respective electorate hence no need to work on the province and improve the infrastructure, education and health. The same people will again win in 2013, they will keep on getting richer and the people of the province poorer.
There is no war going on in Sindh (Karachi is a mess but it became messier during the past five years) what are some achievements of the out going assembly there?
Which EK university are you talking about? I don't think there is any in Hyderabad.
Hyderabad and Jamshoro are twin cities. If properly run, Sindh university can fulfill needs of students from both the cities. It got so many departments and infrastructure, better to improve that.
These bloody politicians are playing games at this time, if they were that concerned and serious about building universities, they should have talked for increase in education budget and then made universities and colleges in distant parts of the province.

I wonder why you are saying with such confidence. Is there some study done to say that just one university is enough?
The two are sister "cities" but the real city is Hyderabad, and Jamshoro may better be called a town. And yet the university is in town.

You are right that Jamshoro is small town. Sindh University with all its department could be expanded to cater not only needs of students from Hyderabad and Jamshoro but nearby areas. They need to establish universities in areas like Thatta/ Badin, Dadu and upper Sindh.
What is the problem with the location of university, be it in town or city, when Karachi University caters needs of the much bigger city?
Just because it is closer to Hyd, it doesn’t mean that people of Hyderabad have any seats more than other areas of Sindh.
so if a new university in Sindh has to be established then it should be first established in a big city rather than little places like Thatta or Badin or Dadu.
Hmmm. So where should we make a university? Close to a town or close to a city with hundreds of thousands of people?
Tough question. You are right. smacks my head
Do small towns in Sindh even have functioning primary and secondary schools? The standard that I have seen for Urdu medium schools in Karachi is just **** so I can assume the wonders the sindhi medium must be doing in the province. Scratch that, first you need to bring land reforms and rule of law in interior Sindh.
Then people cry on that small towns should be developed to remove burden from big cities.
With this attitude and though people really deserve smack on their heads.
I was just being polite to say that smack was on my head. In reality it was obvious I was saying how ridiculous your question was.
About releasing burden. That is another discussion. The point was that a university should be created closer to a big city rather than small towns.
And like I said earlier , Sindh university jamshoro may be closer to Hyderabad but it doesn't serve Hyderabad in anyway more than Thatta or Badin or Dadu.
in any case, what you cited proves that Mazharul Haq did make the statement against creation of university in Hyderabad.
I don't deny that he gave statement against making university in Hyderabad and personally I'm for making as many universities in Pakistan as we can. Do divert army budget to health and education and we will be more secured nation.
I'm talking of the probabilities of utilising already available structures instead of playing political games on ethnic grounds. For God sake, they were silent for all 5 years on this issue and now they are demanding for approving bill for university in one day.
this munafiqat in the name of mufahimat will only give dead bodies to people, not education and education institutions.
You yourself aren't supporting creation of educational institutions yourself. So why blame anyone else.
Just like any other Sindhi nationalist, you are totally ignoring the case for Hyderabad, and are more interested in smaller towns of Sindh.

This bloody Pir Mazhar ul Haq was selling primary teacher posts during his tenure and now become the well wisher for education in Sindh and universities in Sindh. khoon kholta hai, why people chose these idiots again and again

.
Now you have started wasting my time and your own.
Who said a university should be made ONLY in Hyderabad? But the point is, if there is a new university to be made then it should first be made for a big city like Hyderabad, rather than small places like Thatta, Dadu or Badin.
So why do you oppose creation of university for Hyderabad, and instead emphasize case for little cities?
