No more family goodbye, see-off at Pakistani Airports

Re: No more family goodbye, see-off at Pakistani Airports

20 rupay main wifi kaisi ho gi? :bummer:

but that’s ridiculous, asking passengers to pull out their tickets just to get into the parking lot? you’re right, nothing but jagga tax.

Re: No more family goodbye, see-off at Pakistani Airports

In Dhaka it's just the terminal building itself.. Friends and relatives can come to the car park and right up to the terminal entrance but not get inside without paying extra..

Re: No more family goodbye, see-off at Pakistani Airports

Islamabad Airport it self is big mess. at the start of the year i came from islamabad airport to Sydney. SO many people. the capacity of that small building is about 1000 but people in and around the building were more than 2000. it took us more than hour to enter just the airport building. inside was worse.

i was cursing myself for booking my flight from islamabad. I think Dawoo's lounge is better than islamabad airport. I wonder who calls it airport...its lari ada

Re: No more family goodbye, see-off at Pakistani Airports

Pity that my kids cannot accompany me to receive their father at airport and that too, late at night. :/ It used to be a fun trip going together to receive him, but not anymore, I guess.

Re: No more family goodbye, see-off at Pakistani Airports

you are allowed to go and stay outside the airport...you can not enter the departure lounge. you can still receive your hubby just outside the terminal building.

Re: No more family goodbye, see-off at Pakistani Airports

they should make those shady useless characters hanging around the airport premises to disappear......always see those people who have nothing to do at the airport other than looking at other people.

Re: No more family goodbye, see-off at Pakistani Airports

lol...those starved people! :D

Re: No more family goodbye, see-off at Pakistani Airports

Has anyone traveled through the airports recently, and update on this news on what they experienced in person?

Re: No more family goodbye, see-off at Pakistani Airports

It could be a nice small business idea where they can open 'lounge' near airports for the family and friends coming to receive or see off people. One driver can bring the 'newly arrived' there and they can do the welcoming ceremony at the lounge. :D

Re: No more family goodbye, see-off at Pakistani Airports

Landed on the 28th July in Islamabad and there was more than one person to collect me. Departed on 6th September and more than one person dropped me.

Re: No more family goodbye, see-off at Pakistani Airports

So, they just allow any number of people still? I hope you enjoyed your trip. Welcome Back!

Re: No more family goodbye, see-off at Pakistani Airports

They relax after some incident happens. The problem is that they can control ordinary people but what about the VIPs, politicians, military families etc. They easy get off and soon they are strict no more for anyone.

Re: No more family goodbye, see-off at Pakistani Airports

Thanks. It was good. From what I noticed yes, as I had 5 people collect me and 4 people drop me.
