i observed here, there are a very few people who take part in the religion forum, nobody feels interest to post a thread or reply to the religion section, my previous thread regarding hajj was even empty when i gone through it, now here posting the hadith or aayat are even like a tedious task to our members??? such a shameful act… i can know, because i saw the number of views to the thread but only obama participated to that!!! why? there was a similar thread in maybe gupshup forum or all view, about somthing writing and continuing the story… one liners… there is a huge amount of participants there… then why not here? arent we Muslims? does it take too long to remind any of the hadith? ayat? or even if you seek for a hadith or ayat, opening Holy Quran… dont you think k kisi bahanay, per sawab hi mill jae??? i feel so sorry for the Muslims here… we are Muslims… we should prove us as a Muslim, i know, i can understand, we even I make a lot of mistakes, lot of sins, BUT it doesnt mean to stop ourselves by doing a good deed… maybe… achhai kertay kertay hum me ehsas bedaar ho aur burai khud door hat jaye… Allah hum sab ka hami o nasir…
You sound like moula Gorakh Dhanda Poori , Yelling and Screaming and dantofying Muslims for not doing what you like them to do. Their being good Muslims has nothing to do if they post in your thread or not.
Islam is not about just posting a hadees or ayat and getting sawab , it is about practicing it. How do you know they are not practicing Islam ? Because they did not post in your threads ?
Being Muslim is a 24x7 job , it is doing good and staying away from bad , if they are doing that they are very good Muslim. How do you know they are not doing that ?
Please don't be so judgmental. R&S has thousand of threads and posts , they were all opened and participated in by GS members .
Not everyone is competent enough to discuss religion, you see many views and few posts because people read the thread get the message and move on to another thread. Posting in religion requires due diligence therefore people want to be safe than sorry.
The worst thing I dislike about any Muslims Scholar would be delivering their message with element of sarcasm , pity or making others feel guilty. Their Job is to deliver the message as politely and as humbly as humanly possible and not doing laanat malamat daant phitkar.

I have this dukhti rug when I see anybody lasing out on common people in the name of religion I cannot stand it. So Peace.
To be honest, I think the opposite. Religion it too important to be discussed casually the way we discuss what shoes to wear with what dress. I see a LOT of misinformation, opinions and general ignorance when people discuss things of religious importance online threads. All I am saying is "Gup Shup" isn't really conducive to real religious thinking and the chance of giving out wrong information is a bit much. Which is why I think a lot of people just don't feel inclined to give out comments. For example I once provided some info. on a religious topic and a person PM'd me asking me serious religious questions. I felt highly responsible since I dont' feel I am in a position to tell other people how to live their Deen. Personally I browse this forum but I don't write stuff unless its something I have studied personally or have knowledge of it. Secondly there are people who post casual religious questions in other areas, for example that post about "should a person read "why I ma not a mulims" was commented on by a lot of people etc....
religion is a very sensitive topic and its good that over here ppl dont want to misguided with their false or incomplete knowledge (iff it is), unlike in Pakistan where Molana saab will have the answers ready whenever u will ask them as if un ko wahi ati hai.
so please respect our safety measures, otherwise i have seen ppl do get their answers frequently.
Yeah but when quote ayats we should make sure that ayats are not quoted out of context. When ayats are wrongly quoted or misinterpreted, it changes the meaning and message behind them.
I would love even more participation then we have but I don’t think that not participating in religion forum or religious thread makes people bad muslims.
Like Mirch said, there have been quite a few threads on hadees of the day and Ayat of the day. Ofcourse, more participation is always welcomed and encouraged. I would also like to say that memorizing hadees and ayats don’t really make a person better or good muslim, what makes a person good or better muslim is when they are able to apply the message behind those ahadees and ayats in their life, when people are able to use them to mend their character, mend their lives…

The reason that I don't reply much in religious discussions is not so much for lack of interest, but more out of caution as others have also mentioned.

Ok tell me onething, you all can fill here pages and pages, write a paragraph with arguments, denying the facts, denying the reality, what if you people do not waste your time here in lengthy answers rather than posting a one liner ayat or hadith, like, Namaz jannat ki kunji hay, or, something like that which can be easily quoted... we ARE muslims, and being a muslim, we STILL say that we have doubts??? we can debate over soooooo many affairs, issues, we EVEN can fight for religion, Islam, that proves that we LOVE our religion, but how many ov us abide it perfectly??? including me??? this is not smthing i said, those who are NOT posting the thread are NOT muslim, NO- its not like that, i really respect you ALL- BUT what i needed was to JUST go on that thread, it wasnt necessary to post there something which was never known to us, NO- it can be some ayat uar hadith which was even taken from a grade 1 book of a child... it REALLY shows how much we love our religion, believe me... i m not trying to become here a SUPERSMART, I AM NOT- bay aib sirf Allah ki zaat hay... we all are sinful, i JUST tried to make you all understand, that as we take part in other activities with FULL interest at this forum, we should ALSO take part in religion part... dont defend yourself saying "only POSTING doesnt show how religious we are so we dont post" NO- DEFINITELY IT SHOWS... that how much are we close to our religion... there is a HUGE amount of Muslims at this forum, PLEASE PROVE IT... hona to ye chahye tha ke bajae itni behes o mubahisay ke... maira WO thread jo mainay start kia hadith and ayat ka.. over load hona chahye tha... mujhay koi KHUWAHISH nahin hai apnay thread k post ko increase kernay ki- NO- mairay paas AUR bhi bohat se aap sab ke interest ke topics hain jo bina kahay bohat aagay jasaktay hain, unme bohat members participate karainge... and im sure mujhay kehnay ki zaroorat bhi nahin paray gi..SEE- this is a forum, and thousands of people share this, why shouldnt we make it a beneficial media... through which people of other religion inspire.... see... this is the BEST way to convey our msg to soooooooo many people (whom we dont know) deserve... Look at the lengths of mails in this thread and decide who has the lengthy mails.
You dont have to spam or flood via one liners like namaz janat ki kunji hai to show your love and respect for Islam.

Allah aap sab ko neki ki hidayat day, aameen, waqai Allah ne sahi kaha hai, Jo log hidayat nahin paanaa chahtay, un logo ke dil p mene quful laga diye hen. aur ye ke, jo log (ya qaum) apni halat khud nahin badalna chahtay, main bhi unki halat nahin badalta.
