btw, some news on the F-16s:
Geo TV was told in an interview with ex-defense ministry official Lt. Gen. Hamid Nawaz that if Pakistan decides on acquiring previously used fighting falcons from the US, they might be given free! thats quite interesting to hear.
If Pak decides to go for the used fighters, huge amounts could be saved, hich could alternately be used to acquire perhaps either block 60 F-16s...? or Grippen...?
and, to answer Aalsi's question abt when theyll recah, it might take 2yrs atleast. the final processes havent been completed at the dept levels yet...then it takes a while to update pilots and crews until final induction is made. the JF17 will come next year.

*They are all BVR capable. Block 50/52 have those capablities. :)
*Deliveries are around 2008
*The totaly number is 55.
*Current F-16s of Pak are gonna go through MLU.
For AEW, pak is already getting SAAB 2000 AEW&C.

Pakistan may go for the E-3 Sentry (AWACS) from USA since they were offered. It’s a much better and advanced platform than SAAB 2000 AEW&C.

the main difference is the letter f and 7 added to jf17 :Djf17 has 4 letters and f16 has 3 letters so jf17 must be better:p
