Re: no difference
I'm going to repeat to you what my fitness instructor has told me.
Don't be brainwashed by what the scale says!! Measure yourself according to how your clothes fit.
What people (including myself) often fail to realise is that when we work out, even rigorously, we are burning our fat and building lean muscle in its place. Muscle weighs the same, if not slightly more than fat. The scale will stay the same, or may even increase in number, but don't let that fool you into thinking you are not losing anything. Again, measure yourself by your clothes. If you are doing toning exercises and using weights, your weight will increase or stay the same ... but your size will definitely shrink.
Down with the scale! I hate it ... the devil's invention to plague women!!
Now, eating properly is the key .... and it is the most difficult thing to do, especially when it comes to Pakistani food. Rotis are loaded with carbs, salans are heavy, rice is another heavy one .... if you want to go 'healthy', start using whole-wheat atta for rotis. The rotis taste really good. The atta is just a bit difficult to manage and they don't expand as much as regular white wheat atta, resulting in smaller rotis ... which I guess is a good thing.
Another issue, don't measure yourself according to those charts out there that tell you how much you are supposed to weigh according to your height. What those charts don't take into affect is how much a person is exercising, what their body build is, how much bone density they have .... just keep exercising, and remember the most important thing is to measure yourself according to your clothes. Don't weigh yourself, it's the worst thing to do and can be very traumatic.
One more thing, you need to really do proper cardio if you want to shed some weight. Your heart beat needs to seriously increase for a long period of time (at least 30 minutes) if you want to see some results. Any type of cardio work out, treadmill, aerobics, should help.
