Referring to the behavior itself as unsophisticated and tacky (which is what I did) isn’t the same thing as calling someone unsophisticated and tacky. Nor do I recall making any comments about anyone’s socioeconomic status (that was all your buddy Reha…btw, denigrating those less fortunate than yourself is really an excellent way to prove how sophisticated you are). I’ve seen brides from affluent families demand cash, and brides from more modest circumstances who are as mortified by the practice as I am, so I am entirely aware that this is an issue that transcends class.
