Nishabd- indian lolita?

Have been seeing trailors for this as well as a song…seems really really creepy and can’t belive amitabh is in it.

Re: Nishabd- indian lolita?

Why can't you believe he is in it?
He is an actor - and very well capable of doing both positive and negative roles.

Re: Nishabd- indian lolita?

Wats wrong with Big B
"Umar pachpan ki dil bachpan ka"

Re: Nishabd- indian lolita?

very often a “role” is not percieved by the public as a role but rather the true nature of an individual..thus Amitabh as a child molester…falling in love with a girl who could be a grand daughter…could have a lot of flak..but it is amitabh. so maybe not..

Re: Nishabd- indian lolita?

yeah, i saw the advert and the bit where they are bothe travelling in d car and that scene where the girl looks at him and he can feel it to then he looks directly at the camera and smiles to himself - dats creepy!

Re: Nishabd- indian lolita?

I agree with you amelie. It does feel creepy and dark. It could hurt Amitabh's image, whose poualarity is in the hands of the emotional south asian fans.

Nishabd

now whats this:aj:Big B is going nuts i tell you, this movie must be a copy of american pie:hmmm: anyways i was watching GEO nad they were telling that people are burning bachan’s pictures as they didnt like him playing that role.like what is he telling the public.to fall for ur daughters friends.

Re: Nishabd

yeh true.i heard on geo too.:halo:
he falls for a girl whos 19 and hes about 60.:barbie:
and then the quote of movie is.“some love stories are never met to be understood”:rotfl:

the public dont get a positive opinion from this.:aj:

Re: Nishabd

:chai: hmmmmm!!! why are u people freaking out:konfused:

Re: Nishabd

Its a Ram Gopal Verma flick and as with many of his other films, the Indian audience just isn’t ready for themes like this. These self-proclaimed protectors of Indian ethos can’t understand art and expression in their own absolute right.

BTW, the movie is inspired from the best seller “Lolita” and I just can’t imagine if RGV had indeed gone with the plot of a 12 year-old Lolita rather than an 18 or 19 year-old one.

Amitabh was of course the perfect choice for this… he’s already gained all the recognition from the industry and audience all around the world and there’s no better opportunity to experiment with new roles when you know that you’ve got nothing to lose.

Re: Nishabd

i wana see it:)

Re: Nishabd

i would never waste my money on this crappy film i rather go out and have a nice meal :chai:

Re: Nishabd

^
i agree:)

Re: Nishabd

lol yea.....ehhhhh... it even says " she's 18 and he's 60" when showing the trailor... omg its so disgusting... that 18 year old girl is the age of bachann's daughter...

so retarded!!!

Re: Nishabd

Really very bad like we were not expecting this atleast from him
i start hating Big B

Re: Nishabd

100% copy of American beauty
actually Indian film industry does know anything other than copying

Re: Nishabd

how can 18 years old girl wud fall in love with 60 yrs old budha
i dnt beleive it

Re: Nishabd

the promos look disgusting!!! I can’t even stand the promos let alone wanting to wach the movie. :snooty:

Re: Nishabd

^ Agreed…I was disgusted watching the trailer…all Amitabh’s izzat is down the hill for me…he doesn’t even look good in the movie…i hate the part where his wife was sitting down watching them dance

Re: Nishabd

I dunno why ppl can't differentiate between art and reality... everyone can exercise their options to watch or not to watch the movie but you gotta give it to Amitabh for being versatile enough to perform such a role. It's just a movie for God sake!
