My most favorite feature is that you can send pictures with WiFi from the camera to email addresses. I think that is just amazing! :) (The only downside to that is that you can only access the WiFi if it is T-Mobile.) =\
One thing I'm not sure about is the flash. I've learned that these compact cameras usually don't have strong flashes. In the picture, the flash for this camera doesn't look too big/strong, but the specs say it can go up to 7.5 meters (at wideangle)...
Ohh dude I really want one of those professional ones...I spend so much time looking at them and everything! :( But I don't have enough money to get one of those nice ones...and also, the problem is that they're too big and I need a camera I can take with me places...so in that case I think point and shoots are the best choice for now...InshaAllah when I get to college I'll buy a professional one. :)
Hey I have a question. Would a realllyyyy old canon lens fit this Nikon one? My dad has this old Canon that they don’t even make any more and he has a few lenses from that. I posted pics of it once lemme show you and maybe that will help.
PA omg I’m getting sooo excited just reading the specs and features on this camera! (the nikon d40)…I think this is the one! I’ll have to coax my parents into buying it for me…I dunno if they’ll budge. =(
This sure seems like a good camera for me. The only thing I don't like is that it's only got a 3x zoom, but I guess I can't ask for too much with the tight budget I'm on.
Is there any way to tell what the flash range is for the built-in flash on this? It doesn't say in the specs.
Also, around how much would a seperate flash cost? Is it necessary or do you think I could take pictures just fine without the additonal flash?
I dont think those lenzes can be used in a DSLR. Those models are too old.
Besides that, keep in mind that extra lenzes can cost a fortune
A simple 18-55 mm lens is usually packed with a DSLR. But it is an excellent starters camera.
Phatima OMG, u have the AE-1 and u want to buy another camera!
That's one of the classics. Plus u have the different lenses. Use that camera and learn what photography is all about. When I started I used my dad's old Voigtlander. It was so much fun taking the pictures and keeping notes on what settings i used so I could see the results (after getting the film developed) and seeing where i needed to make adjustments.
Then you can start saving money from you allowance (:p) and go buy the Nikon D40 next year and you're really enjoy the instant results a lot more.
Camera's break, people die, machines stop working! That's the reality. Just because of that if we stop utilizing the above it would be such a shame, wouldn't it?
No no I mean I do use it..it’s just…well my dad would like choke me if I ever even got a scratch on it he loves that thing more than he loves me. And I mean I’m very very careful with it..but still..
anyways I just wanna have my own camera that I can take around with me to make short video clips and take good pictures with…price limit is mm about $300 maybe a little more…can anyone help me out?
