no no noooo I CAN’T buy a professional camera my parents are gonna flip out and plus I feel bad asking for so much especially when I’m still only in highschool…For right now, I just need a good point and shoot that I can take around everywhere…
I wish you could build your own camera with all the perfect features on it online…like how Dell does for computers.
PA, also I don’t think I should buy such a “baby” SLR right now because I’ll most likely be buying a real nice Nikon or Canon SLR in about a year, maybe two. So for now, I’ll just buy a point and shoot and this will be my last one.
well since u dislike ‘weaker’ flashes this one only has 3.7m .. a poor telephoto lens (only 128mm and f/5.6), mediocre macro focus range (7.5cm) and uses xD cards instead of more mainstream SD cards.
Not to mention it’s a whopping 9MP.. have u budgeted for a new hard drive/more DVDR’s/a new more powerful PC to process and store those huge files?
You need to spell your requirements out .. a little specifically. What do you want or not want .. consider this an opportunity to design your ideal Point 'n shoot.. what’s bugging u about your current one?
It does have pretty decent specs. I was always a G series fan, but never did get one cuz i was always waiting for the price to drop below a certain level and by the time it did the next version would come up and that version was out of stock
This actually started when G3 was out.
PA, well I have Sony CyberShot DSC-something, and it no longer works for some reason. Anyways, so what I didn't like about it is that it was only 3.2 MP (I'm looking for like around 5 MP), the optical zoom was only around 3x, and I'd like 4x or 5x. The flash took very long to build up, and any picture taken without flash would come out blurry (unless I used a tripod). The camera took a good 5-6 seconds to turn on. It is failr chunky, but I'd rather get a camera that takes better pictures than carry around a stylish piece of metal.
I just talked to my Dad…I put on the cutest face ever and I went up and asked him if I could just have money for a camera on my birthday (coming up this friday)…and he said why and I ended up telling him that i wanted to buy a $500 camera…and at first he was like …but then I told him PakistaniAbroad bhai’s idea that I would get a summer job and pay him back $200 dollars so he would only be paying $300 for the camera…
he said he’d think about it…and right now, that’s all I ask.
phatima taking pics requires two things, a good camera and good photographing skills.
Plus it doesnt hurt to know a bit bout how a camera works, shutter speed, lighting techniques and what not.
You can have whatever pixels and whatever optical zoom but if you dont know anything bout how to use a camera in every surrounding and situation then the best of the best cameras will fail you.
The reason your sony camera came out with blurry pics when no flash was used is cause of shutter speed.
You can do awesome tricks with the speed of shutter.
In order for a camera to take crystal clear pics without flash is to keep it extremely very still.
Otherwise you will end up with blurry unfocussed pics.
Plus its not necessary to use flash in all pics.
You need to know when and where to use flash and where to not.
If you are going to be doing still photography make sure you get a good tripod.
As for the flash taking a while to build up, there is a setting where you can disable that.
But then you need to know how to focus before taking a pic.
I can post up pics of awesome slow shutter speed results.
Thanks LB. Yea I think I know quite a lot about cameras...I've worked with an SLR before (my dad's oldddd one) so I learned a lot from that and from reading the instruction booklet for it. I'm taking a call next fall for photography too. yay :)
