Nikah is marriage .
Period.
In islam there is no such thing as a rukhsati.It a cultural thing.
After Nikah the husband can take the wife home whenever he want.
It is better to take her in front of a number of people & this is what people have termed as rukhsati.
Marriage means you can have a "husband-Wife" relationship with your spouse.
Since nikaah is marriage it means the same thing.
