Re: Niki’s Video Tutorials: How to Make Roti
Nice..!!
I liked the fact that you used so little ‘khushka’ (dry aata) while rolling the roti. When I make a roti,it looks like a sandstorm of atta just hit…I use too much khushka. No doubt my own mom does not like the way I make roti…

Yes I use very little dry atta. But this dight was fresh too. If it’s a couple days old then you’ll need more khushki.

Oye hoye nice video but pleaseeeeeeeeeee next time the orientation of the video, keep it horizontal and not vertical. It is so annoying. Feels like things have been cut out of the video.

Re: Niki’s Video Tutorials: How to Make Roti
Nice one Niks, love the music and your tawa is huge as everyone said.
Yes, please!
I make it slightly differently though. I flip it only twice. Once when the bottom side gets slightly brown, I flip it like you did in the beginning. I then let the other side cook completely (“saiking” it with a cloth) and then flip it the second time and saik that side too and that’s when the roti puffs up completely, sign of a roti well made. If it’s too thin or too thick or if it hasn’t been cooked properly, it won’t puff up.
I make the roti same way.
