Re: Nikah

i m a new memeber at the forum,,,

pls can u help me with the exact procedure

we wish to come to dubai for our nikah and do not wish to get it done in the court ,,

pls helppp

Re: Nikah

You will need to contact Sharia court in Dubai. But for this either one of the bride or groom should have a Dubai residence visa. The other party can have a visit visa. The girl's father/ brother (wali) needs to be present at the time of the nikah. You need to have all the information and procedures from the court. They will ask you to do some blood test. You can do it urgently and get the results available hopefully withint a day. Then you will need to show this to the Sharia court along with other papers. You will need to request the court to send someone over to the house for the nikah. They will charge something extra for that. Then they will give you the date. They can come in the evening. You need to ask them whether they can come to the hotel (I am not sure about this but I have seen them coming to house for nikah). Get the bride and groom prepared and they will perform the nikah on the already set date at the place.

Hope this helps.

Re: Nikah

thx a lot dear for the info. but both of us do nto hv a residence visa ,,, w will b cmng on visit visa with our parents ,,, what are the chances in that case ,,, is it not possible to contact the person directly and arrange the nikah .

Re: Nikah

If you both hold visit visas, I think it will not be possible then. Web sites mention that both should hold residence visa but I know guys from US, UK etc come to UAE and get nikah done with girls who have residence visa of UAE. Please refer to these web sites for further info:

Re: Nikah

My interpretation would be that because men and women cannot mix freely within Islam, a Nikaah in the presence of each other (and non-mahram) shouldn't be practiced. Somebody commented earlier that because no touching is involved, there are no issues. It is correct that touching is prohibited before Nikaah; however, we are also taught to protect our eyes, ears and tongue.

With regards to the venue; according to the tradition of Muhammad (S.A.W.) marriages performed in the House of Allah, immediately preceded by prayers, will attract the maximum of Allah's blessings. He once said, "Declare this marriage, have it in the Mosque and beat the drums".

Re: Nikah

No. In terms of religion it's perfectly ok for them to be in the same place if their mehrams are present and they aren't left alone..

Re: Nikah

thx for the links given .as per the links i made a inq with the dubai court section and i got the following reply :

** near al maktoom brig opp Rashid hospital timing from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm **
**And 5.00 pm to 7.30 pm **

**can u pls throw some light on the above like wht will be the requirements and procedure ***

Re: Nikah

I guess you will need to visit the courts in the said timings. They will give you the complete procedure. But you will definitely need to do the blood tests. The court people will guide you through everything. You just need to visit the court and they will guide you with everything.

Re: Nikah

and how long does it take the blood test reports to come.....

Re: Nikah

The maulvi wont do a nikah with the boy and girl both sitting to gether in front of a lot of people.
On my wedding day inshallah my groom will be on the stage, I'll be in a seperate room. My nikah will be done and then his and then I'll make my entrance.
Mehndis are also done seperately before the nikah.

And I would rather make my promises and vows to him when we're alone together :)

Re: Nikah

If you do it on urgent basis, may be they will give you the same day. I guess you need to plan for a week at least for the whole procedure depending on the work load of the court. Its better to get all the information directly from the court first.

Re: Nikah

OMG ashy are you getting married????

Re: Nikah
