Depends on how big the event is. A chooridar or sharara always look very pretty! Personally I wouldn't go for shalwar kamiz.

Yup, it does depend upon the size of the gathering. Anything (including churidar, sharara, gharara, gAnarkali/Pishwas) would be lovely except a shalwar kameez.

i would go for shalwar kameez, its traditional and simple, so you would look more stunning on ur wedding day!

well as Nikkah is our wedding.... i'd say go for a Lehnga,Sharara or a gharara,it'll look beautiful.. For rukhsati again u can have either of these but in a different colour combination.
i'ld say go for sharara (dhaka pajama) with a long shirt. make it more kaam if its a huge gathering and less kaam if its not that many.
i'd go for either a sharara or a churidaar or maybe a long kameez with pants and not a shalwar.

if its a nikkah i would say go for a white sharara and kameez with silver work on it. simple and elegant.
depends how bigger the function is , if its a small family affiar than go for shalwar kameez or follow latest trend , wear long shirt with straight pants , if its a big function go for sharara.. it wod be different if u wear lehnga on rukhsati .

Wear a sharara...get dolled up and go all out!
On my engagement, I was very simple and did my own makeup at home.

for the nikkah, leave it quite simple and less detailed, that way you could choose to wear something stunning on the wedding day and look amazing....
so a simple churidaar or shalwar kameez would be ideal for a nikkah especially if it is a small simple affair

wear chori dar pajama in white or ofwhite colour,,,,,,,with only white motiya flowers in ur hair..dnt put lot of make up//////////.......be natural.........it seems u r having nikah,,,bcoz barat n walima is big evnt. u must have sharara choice 4 dem.............

We have soooo many events: Mayun, Mehndi, Nikah, Baraat, Valima, even a bridal shower!
Wear a color you wont be wearing on any of the other days so you have some variety and different looks.
Hi Babe i wore a shirt with tear drop shara with chunky earrings, i bought it from the zfs collections in birmingham. It looked great try that or a simple but effective anarkali style outfit.

Girls I need your help!!!!!! I apologise in advance if this thread has been done!
I would like some idea's and suggestions on what one could wear on her nikkah. Our families have agreed to do a small intimate nikkah which will be hosted for immediate family only, and then few months down the line we will end up doing the whole shabaang (mehndi, barat & Valima).
I am avoiding anarkali's and lengha for the time being, as anarkali's are worn to death at the mo and are rapidly going out of fashion! Lengha I would like to save for the barat. What else could I wear? Hate saree's.
My maami is in Pakistan (Karachi) at the moment and I have decided to ask her to get me something made. Where abouts in Karachi could she shop?
