Re: night terror or paranormal activity?
Ok, so on a serious note, my nephew (now 15) used to suffer from night terrors. the worst was when my sis and her family first moved to dubai when he was about 5 years old. they were renting a flat on busy Shaik Zayed Rd, and they were on the 6th or 7th floor I believe. One night, my sister woke up to hear him screaming, so she ran into his bedroom, but he wasn't in his bed and she couldn't find him (it was a really small flat), the front door of was open and just as my brother in law ran out he saw the elevator door close...so he started bounding up the firewell stairs while my sister called the nightman on duty...they raced up to follow the elevator to the roof deck, where my little nephew had gotten off..he was still "sleepwalking" and crying and was walking towards the edge when they caught up to him.
Still gives me shivers thinking about it. He had a couple of more night terror episodes after that, but none to that extreme. They took to him to doctors and a couple of shrinks, who said it could just be the trauma of moving to a new place, and he did eventually grow out of it.

"sleepwalking" and crying and was walking towards the edge when they caught up to him. .
This gave me chills. May allah keep your nephew and your sisters family in his amaan.
Re: night terror or paranormal activity?
I get frequent sleep paralysis attacks. And by frequent I mean 2-3 times a week. They are usually accompanied with scary hallucinations; everything from evil cats to the devil himself. On the horror scale, even the most frightening of your experiences would shy in comparison. I have learned to live with it. Now I think of it as a free horror movie :D
It's amazing how the feeling of helplessness and inability to so much as move your pinky toe can be fun if you calm down and take it like a champ :D
Re: night terror or paranormal activity?
I went through that for few years. I used to see a small(ish) child like person (shadow) either approaching me or sitting on my chest.
It reminds me of a Henry Fuseli’s Nightmare.

Re: night terror or paranormal activity?
My SIL was telling me a few days ago about how her brother was followed about by some chrael-type thing when he was a boy, he used to wake up and see it staring at him cos she took a liking to him. Apparently a few people including his grandma saw it.
I dunno man. I'm not going to their house though.
Never had anything like that happen in my house though. Sometimes I think some people make it up to draw attention away from something else. Some 'uncle' told us about a woman in white clothes that he saw at night once and her feet were turned backwards, so he ran away. We reckon he just tried to chat her up and it all went a bit wrong :/
