My husbands submitting my application online this very moment funnily enough....the website isn't very user friendly and has some errors but if saves me a trip to the embassy then I'm all for it.

How is POC different vs NICOP ?
I don't know if they were US citizens but I know that with companies outsourcing in india, they are and were rejecting applications of pakistanis who were supposed to go and support products in india. Apparently, the cream of the crop is out and it is now useless buffoons in india "supporting" us now.
It is a pity that there is the energy crisis etc but this could have been a great chance to do some damage pakistani style in software development. I know two companies where the problem was diverted to pakistani tech center and they fixed it within the ticket time.

Mine did, and so did my children's. I'm pretty impressed actually, I got regular email updates at each stage of the application and they sent me the tracking details when the card was dispatched too.

Yes, you can. Pak-Identity | Apply Online for your National ID Its quite efficient, you get it delivered at home within 7 days.
I believe NICOP is for Pakistani nationals. While POC is for foreign nationals of Pakistani origin (Pakistani national spouse, parents, grandparents, siblings)

Pakistan Origin Card or POC is to facilitate the former Pakistani citizens who currently do not hold Pakistani nationality but have ever remained a Pakistani citizen in their lifetime. POC holders enjoy visa free entry into Pakistan; can buy property in Pakistan.

now if only they can cancel out the fake cards issued to illegal afghans and other non-pakistanis and deport them back to their countries

Just went through the process to obtain NICOP online. Very efficient, and quick. :k:
A heads-up, the thumb prints form needs to be scanned at 600 DPI. My AIO would only scan up to 300 DPI using the Auto document feeder. If you use the glass surface to scan, you can scan in higher resolutions. It’s probably a printer limitation to process scans faster using ADF. I had to search that out because NICOP requires the biometric form to be scanned at 600 DPI.
But you’re all smarter than I, so you probably didn’t run into that issue. :o

Quick question here, I am planning a visit to Pakistan later this year. I'm British and want to know if I am to apply for a visa or an ID card. Do I need both or just the one? I've never had a Pakistani passport obviously and want to know what are the benefits of a ID card. Thank you.
