Re: NIC, NICOP, Pakistan Origin Card… Help!
Was looking for some info on renewing NICOP and Pakistani passport in Canada, and WOW!! Came across this old thread on GS from the early bronze age
here is my dilemma
I live in Alberta (Calgary), and the nearest consulate is in Vancouver, a $600 return flight - EACH!
Attendance is mandatory so there is no way around it
I sent an email to the MOFA (ministry of Foreign affairs) and the high commissioner in Canada. They did reply (another WOW!!) but basically told me to go take a walk as I was too immature and dumb to understand these policy matters and the reason behind putting the consulate in Vancouver which has only a few Pakistanis living there compared to Alberta (Calgary /Edmonton) which has the 2nd highest population of Pakistanis in Canada after the Toronto area.
I suggested to them that should do camp office in Calgary or Edmonton every month for a day or two. They said its not possible for operational reasons for now, but they will submit this suggestion to committee for review…
Guess I am not visiting Pakistan any time soon…
Foreign missions of Pakistan are there to make life of Pakistani miserable… iam glad they are doing good job there in Canada…uou shoud send them another email and comend them for the great service they do provide…and try to call the high commissioner and ask him how do he come up with such great ideas to make life of fellow Pakistami miserable…tell him.he should be considered for Noble price…
