i say go for wonderland.....let me know, and i can see if i can score you a cheaper ticket.
the maid of the mist is really nice at the falls. the caves are a waste.
there are a few haunted houses there....i love them! Screamers, Nightmares...take ur hubby to one of them.
the Huge Ferris Wheel is great - at night too!
Please don't try to eat desi there at the falls...there is this one place...nasty food!

and yes Ferris wheel was on the list too.. I am not sure about the haunted houses though... I will die and my husband won't leave you alone for suggesting such a thing :-p
I checked Moe's mexican grill and yes it's halal again..yayyy! I have to eat there!! and at Lahore Tikka house and and and at all other good yummy places!!!
For shopping I am going to stick to our list that you emailed me.. I hope those places will be open on Sunday though!!
and pakistani mangoes are good only in July.. aren't they? or do you guys store them for last year? I woudl like to have some too!!!
niagra is no doubt a beautiful place .. but i would advice you to visit .. Webster falls … at niagra you can only view the scenery, but at webster you can have more fun.
I am a student at Mac ... i'm doing my masters there and a full time foodie :D ... love my foood ... and btw i have been to websters walls ... just a heads up its a butterfly conservation park ... which is known to have tons and tons of small snakes and other reptiles and mid sized dears ... its an amazing place to go to ... but try to go with a larger crowd and not just 2-3 people cuz usually these animals keep away from larger groups ... but yea i've seen frogs snkes butterflies a couple of deers racoons skunks whn it was just me and my frnd hiking
Hello again.. so we are back from our trip to Niagara falls and Toronto and LOVED it!!
At Niagara, we only had time to do Maid of the Mist, Ripleys Believe it or Not (I always wanted to see it from inside), Ferris Wheel and of course teh firework at the falls.
IN Toronto, we had booked a boat tour at the waterfront.. got off on an island and enjoyed it.. we were pretty late for CN tower so we made it to the skydome in teh dark..still enjoyed it.. I am usre it woudl have been better during early evening though!
Food.. we ate at Casablanca at Niagara.. chicken shawarma was yummy, hummus was okay!
We also tried Moe’s Southwest Grill in Missisauga, halal mexican, I was in heaven…both tacos and quesdilla was GREAT! Last but not least we had a halwa poori brunch at Pak Center in Scarborough.. very nice food.. we also had fish karahi packed and brought it back to the US.. it was okay
We also went to the flea market in Missisauga.. man that reminded me of bazars in Pakistan.. I was wondering where they bought that stuff from.. such itwar bazar of Pindi BUT I bought the most awesome scarves from there for very cheap!!! Thanks Afshi
Border crossing went well.. We entered Canada around 10:00am through rainbow bridge and we were second in line.. we came back to the US through lewiston bridge around 2:00PM and it was packed.. took uis about 20 mins to get to the officer and then just 3 mins there!!!Alhamdulillah!
Thank you everyone for all your valuable suggestions.. I couldn’;t have planned this trip without your help!
Tip: We checked the currenty exchange at AAA and it was Canadian $88 for US $100 so we called the bank of America to check the foreign transaction fee.. we were told 3% of the purchase but when I called to notify them about using my ATM card in Canada to lift travel restrictions, I was told that I can use Scotia Bank ATM without any fee so thats we did to use money at small places such as Flea Market in Missisauga
To make this thread a lil bit more colorful, here is one of my favorite pics from the trip..
no Kinz.. my mom was with us and she won't have enjoyed any of the rides, in fact she wont have taken any so keeping that in mind, we chose the boat tour at the harbor waterfront.. It went well. :-)
Yayy! I'm so glad you enjoyed your trip here :D I was thinking about you during the weekend, and hoped you were doing well.
Pak centre is pretty good, although other than their halwa poori meal, everything else is on the pricey side. We love their halwa poori, given that we don't have a lot of choices in Scarborough :D
Smiley.. I kept thinking about you in Scarborough.. I was like hmm she must have walked here, hmm I may see her here.. in fact there was a couple at the Pak center and the husband looked like your husband (from what I have seen on facebook) and I kept staring at the girl.. she wasn't like you but I was trying to find resemblence.. it was weird and embarassing :D
I saw a guppie and his wife at the flea market but since that guppie has never seen me before I didn't want to point that out.. it was funny :D
