Niagara Falls

ok lets plan my trip to Canada.. I love GS for my travel plans

When is the best time to visit Niagra falls with family? What else can someone do in a weekend there? Any suggestions for fun with family in 2-3 days?

Thanks

re: Niagara Falls

its lovely weather there now a days...and there are soooo many things u can do...at the night time u can see firework in niagra falls :)

re: Niagara Falls

Kinz.. we will be most probably going there in May.. how far is CN tower from falls? What else is a must visit???

re: Niagara Falls

CN tower is in toronto...it 45 mins drive...there is a Marine land in niagara falls...u MUST visit it..its close now a days,,,it will be open by may...

re: Niagara Falls

CN tower is in downtown Toronto and is about 1 to 1.5 hours away from the falls, depending upon the traffic on QEW and Gardiner.

If you like to visit museums, Royal Ontario Museum, better known as ROM, should be on your must-visit list. There are art galleries that you can see. Bata Shoe Museum is also a great place to visit as well as Ontario Science Center.

Following is the official website of the city of Toronto. You can look up for various attractions happening in the city at the time of your visit. Hope you have a enjoyable and fun trip

re: Niagara Falls

Wonderland is also a very fun place to take your family to.

re: Niagara Falls

Thank you everyone.. I guess for now niagara falls, CN tower, and Lahori Tikka place is in plans.. where would I find cheaper prices for good hotels? near niagra falls or in Toronto?

re: Niagara Falls

Try expedia.ca

Quality Inn are more affordable and provide great service for the price. But then, nobody I know of has chosen any other hotels when they are in the city.

re: Niagara Falls

i was going to suggest expedia.ca as well. it's great for finding hotels in the area you're visiting.

as for finding a hotel in niagara falls or toronto, it depends on how long you want to stay in niagara for. if it's just a day trip, then a hotel isn't required. although, you're coming from out of town, you might want to spend more than a day near the falls.

you can find cheaper hotels near niagara falls too. just gotta do some searching..and that's where expedia comes in handy! :D

re: Niagara Falls

i think ROM is awesomeee ... best dino exhibit anywhere i've seen ... tehre are better places to eat than lahore tikka depend on wat you're ordering but lahore tikka is not bad ... do go to lakeshore as thats pretty nice too ... eaton center is awesome if you wanna shop arnd abit ... wonderland is good but too much wait for teh rides ... in niagra u can go to clifton hill for haunted houses and teh ferris wheel ... thats nice ... behind the falls and maid of teh mist is good too at falls ... thats pretty much all i can think of rtie nwo

re: Niagara Falls

when are you going GTG?

re: Niagara Falls

If you're into small town experiences, vintage hotels, or marine drives... then I'd suggest visiting Niagara on the Lake as well... it's about 15 minutes from Niagara Falls, and they have some nice bed-n-breakfasts. You're probably only going to need half a day to roam around / picnic etc., so you can definitely do it on your way from Niagara Falls to Toronto.

re: Niagara Falls

gtg...i want to go to niagara on the may 21st long weekend...let me know when ur going!

re: Niagara Falls

aww thanks everyone.. I have been checking expedia, cheaptickets, and priceline.. I will book the hotel once we have finalized couple of things before travelling!

Libran and Lucid.. I will check out the places you have mentioned!

Afshi and Smiley.. We are planning for memorial day weekend.. it may change though!

Lol. Talk about being organized. One month in advance planning! Awesome.

Never.

Re: Niagara Falls

^ ghar ki murghi daal barabar or better yet we will find out soon!!!

quick question everyone.. is marineland at niagara falls worth the ticket price? and yes we love rides!!!

Re: Niagara Falls

^ yesssssssssss… They have scary ( but yes worth visiting ) Rides ever :bummer:..

to be honest, not really. first, the ticket prices are expensive and secondly, the weather isn't hot enough just yet to be able to enjoy the rides. in total, there's maybe 10 rides you can go on, which include the kiddie rides :p

there's a lot of walking required, because everything is so spaced out.

i'd rather spend the money on maid of the mist at niagara, or the people mover which is a bus service that takes you all around the niagara region, with different stops that you can get off/on along the way.

Re: Niagara Falls

ps - if you love rides, then i would suggest wonderland. it’s a lot better than marineland, and so many more rides. http://www.canadaswonderland.com/

although it’s still a bit chilly to be going on the rides, but then again the weather could be great the weekend that you come!
