Faisal: SJ fought hard…they went down fightin, and thats how it should be…it was a good competition…and the sharks makin it to the conference finals is big enuf 2…the underdogs of the yr makin it so far when no one expected them to…they surely did get noticed :k: for the sharks
nido: how was the partyin last nite? i’m sure it’s still carried over today
eventhough tampa scored first, phili leads 2 - 1 at the end of the 1st period...that goal by primeau was a beauty...bad defense by tampa...lets see what happens, flyers surely dominated the 1st period...
end of the 2nd period, 3 goals for tampa and 1 for phile which puts tampa back in the lead 4 - 3...Esche looked really shaky, i dunno if he's goin to be brought back in the 3rd period after allowin 3 goals in the last (only 1 of the 3 goals was convincing, the others shouldn't have happened)
tampa is 11 - 0 after they're in the lead at the end of the 2nd period, lets see if they can make it 12 - 0 and advance to the stanley cup finals after tonites game...
Primeau keeps the phili hopes alive by scoring the tying goal with less than 2 mins left to the end of the 3rd period...game tied at 4 - 4 goin into OT now...
phili fought back hard winnin game 6 with a score of 5 - 4, the last goal comin from gagne with less than 3 mins remainin to the end of the 1st OT period…well deserved win, they surely dominated the 1st, 3rd, and OT periods :k:
so this series is now tied 3 - 3 and is goin down to the wire…game 7 will be in tampa on sat 22nd may, 2004…
Man the Flames are kikin ass. Anybody see what was happening on 17th street last night. Amazing hysteria in Calgary. The Cup is coming back to Canada where ir belongs.
Damn, that was one ass kicking game! Thanks to Preimeau and Gagne, there's Game 7 to be played. I don't know why Hitchcock doesn't go-ahead with the same line up of Preimeau, Roenick and Gagne. All of them seems to have great chemistry. I hope Hitchcock does it in Game 7.
tampa advanced to the stanley cup finals (as perdicted) by winnin the 7th game with a final score of 2 - 1…for the first time in franchise history…well deserved win 2…phili played well, but tampa played better :k:
1st game of the finals is on tuesday nite, where tampa hosts the western conference champs calgary…in the regular season, tampa had rolled over calgary, but calgary is a diff team all together now, and i expect this series to go down to the wire as well, i.e. game 7…both teams are equally good, it can go either way…i’d give the thumbsup to calgary for this series, and this yrs stanley cup champs though…the spirit with which they came back from barely makin it to the play-offs to beatin the of the best teams in the western conference, they have an edge over tampa…tampa was already on top of the eastern conference so its not a real surprise that they made it to the finals…goin to be an exciting series for sure
If the Flames win, Calgary will go f ing insane. It is going to be insane. I think the Flames forwards will be too tough and gritty for the soft TB defense to handle. Mind you, TB is so loaded on forward they may just score enough to make up the difference.
My inclination is Calgary in 6, but if things swing Tampas way early, they may be able to end it fast.
Mind you, with the upcoming CBA talks, Calgary will do more long term harm then good to their own cause by winning the cup. The NHLPA will just point to the Flames winning and say that the current salary structure works for everyone.
Well, I don't know about zone defence yada yada in NHL but what really makes me sad is that Philly was worst in PowerPlay. 5 on 4 game, you sure gonna get a goal which Philly didn't in this entire series against Tampa.
The Lightening are hellva team when comes to PowerPlay. They score in a blink of an eye. I wouldn't be surprised if they continue to win games on PowerPlay. Congrats to them to appear in the Stanley Cup Finals for the 1st time in the franchise history.
Unless, this series goes into 7 Games, it will be interesting. Rightnow, with all the big dogs out, I suspect ratings of ESPN going down the hill.

What’s the score, peoples? Are mah boys doing well?
yea gelinas scored for calgary 3 mins into the 1st period...not a convincing goal, still beat the bulin wall though...so now its almost the end of the 2nd, calgary still up 1 - 0...
