Who thought that the Wing will have a rocket-season in this year after players like hatcher, hull, whitney, joseph, mccarty left the Wings?! 5 Key Players in the Wings-Roster, but "Kids" like Zetterberg & Datsyuk are rollin´, Yzerman maybe in his last season but he is a big part of the team, "the captain" and heart of the wings!
Defender Lidstrom having an outstanding Season, Schneider has a career high-goals of 21. Manny Legace playing awesome, showing unbelievale saves...
Best Team in NHL at the moment!

San Jose Sharks are really hot. I think they won 8 on a streak, locked the #5 play off spot and will probably end up with League leaders in both goals (Cheechoo) and assists/points (Joe). Pretty good stuff from a team that had a horrible November and were pretty much washed out and had very low expectations.

I haven't been paying much attention to Hockey. The last season I remember watching was when that leafs player got an eye injury, and steve thomas was on the team, and some really crappy team came outta nowhere and made it to the finals. What yr was that anyways?

i know why leafs didn't make it.. because their owners stopped funding the team properly, and started investing in apartment buildings

Good game by Edmonton today. Good thing they got Dwayne Roloson at the trade deadline or else they probably woud have had trouble just making it to the playoffs.
BTW, i just noticed that as much as i like basketball and the NBA during the regular season, i just can't get my self away from NHL come playoff time. During the regular season, i like watching basketball 10 times more than hockey but during the playoffs, hockey becomes far more intruiging for some reason. I think it has something to do with all the double and triple over times, some thing that you can't experience with the new NHL and the shootouts.

Ever since Leafs have started golf (golf Leaf golf!), everyone here has gone quiet over Stanley Cup playoffs. Come on guys, be a good sport. Shabash.
Anyway, the purpose of this post is just to gloat over San Jose Sharks. What an awesome performance yesterday. They beat Nashville Predators 5-4 to take a 3-1 lead in the best of seven series. My guess is they will take the series in 6. Its surely turning out to be a great year for Sharks. Woohooo!!!

Yep, definitely. The Sharks have the two best offensive threats in the league in Thornton and Chechoo. I still think their goal tending will prevent them from going any further in the playoffs but so far, their offence has been more than enough to overcome any goal tending short comings.

I was wrong. Sharks beat Preds in 5. Great work guys! Now they have a few extra days of rest to see who they’ll meet in the semis.
