Re: NFL
Week 11
The New England Patriots seems to be going past every opponent with same mentality, show no mercy. They are not only beating their opponents with big margins, but also humiliating them like never before. Brady who is atleast throwing three touchdowns per game is on the pace to break the NFL record for most touchdowns, held at 49 by Peyton Manning. This record seemed unbeatable, but with this offense it is just matter of time. Randy Moss is the key beneficiary.
Tom Brady went for 31-39 373yds 5 TDs
Rady Moss 128 Yds and 4 TDs
56-10 New England
On the other hand, another team with star wide receiver T. Owens had a big day for himself. Owens' TD catches of 4, 31, 46, and 52 yards were instrumental in helping Dallas win four straight since their first loss at the hands of Patriots. Cowboys are 9-1 along with Packers.
Indianapolis Colts are showing signs of weakness. Probably due to injuries to their squad. Their win against the Kansas City Cheifs may not be a convincing one, but it does give them the time and space to heal. Adam Vinatieri had another difficult day, but in the end he managed to overcome his bad streak and kick a 24-yard with 4 seconds left that gave Colts a 13-10 win over the Cheifs. Baltimore Ravens on the other hand were not so lucky. Cleveland Browns were trailing 30-27 on the final play of regulation. Dawson attempted a 51-yard kick. It was first ruled incomplete but after sometime the refrees found out that the ball hit the left upright and than bouned off the crossbar. Baltimore Ravens players, coach and fans could not believe it. Cleveland won the game on over time.
The last few games are going to show whether any of the division leaders (Colts, Chargers and Seahawks) will fold and other teams will dare to challenge them. New England's last few games will be watched closely. Will they make an attempt for 16-0? Do they have to because it looks easy when most of those games are at home and teams like Eagles, Ravens and Jets are not having a great season. Moreover, with Steelers loosing to Jets and Giants making mistakes and erros, New England can afford to bench some players and try to win it. In the end, this is NFL, anything can happen.
