new yorkers help

which hotel is better

flatotel
park central newyork
roosvelt hotel Newyork
salisbury hotel
paramount
wingate by wyndham manhattan downtown

my usuals are all booked up in midtown and I need to keep it around what my boss is paying which is 561/night.

whatthe hell is going on in NYC that all hotels are booked already for late september, its not the tourist season.

Re: new yorkers help

Your boss is paying 561/night, you should get a motel near 42nd street and enjoy the remaining balance

Re: new yorkers help

Your budget is 550USD and you're looking at three star hotels? Anyway I'll work with your ghetto-fabulous 300USD choices...

I'd suggest Flatotel and Wingate for the younger crowd. But because you're an oldie with a liking for the homeland - Roosevelt.

Re: new yorkers help

Shouldn't it depend on the location? Anything you need to be close to? Ofcourse u can go anywhere in Manhattan and its around $5-7 by cab (strikes not withstanding).

I would pick between Roosevelt and Wyndham. Also look up Marriott Marquis, should be within your budget, which is right in the middle of Times Square.

Re: new yorkers help

find me a 4 star for 550/night on 18, 19th, 20th of sept and I will owe you one. I could not find any with availability.

tofi. midtown mon ami, all these hotels are mid town as well. I personally like the millenium but the damn thing is sold out

Re: new yorkers help

Well, mid town extends from 60+ streets all the way down to the 30's, and then from 8th ave all the way to the 3rd (might even be broader than that). That's a lot of territory. You should be closer to where you can walk easily withing a 10-15 mnt time frame. Unless ofcourse you if want to explore the subway system.

Re: new yorkers help

700 block of broadway, but hotel can be a short cab ride away. I believe the boss got a room at park place or something like that, would rather be closer to where he is than the client offices

Re: new yorkers help
