New Years Eve London means parties and where better to celebrate than by spending your New Years Eve in London. Who is going to celebrate their new year’s eve at London Eye? I am planning to go there. What are the places to visit and enjoy your time?
Re: New Year’s Eve in London
If you want a good view you need to get down to The Southbank area opposite the London Eye before 4pm. It gets packed and they close areas off to stop the crowds building up.

Re: New Year's Eve in London
NYE in London sounds amazing!!! Nothing much happens here in my neck of the woods...there are some city celebrations/fireworks etc downtown but nothing that spectacular
Re: New Year’s Eve in London
The only thing that stop me is getting there as soon as possible else no point.
I wish it doesn’t rain that night else it won’t be that cheerful.
Will you go there or stay home and watch on tele?
You better enjoy watching on tele as I normally do.It is my first time to enjoy live at Big Ben.
Re: New Year's Eve in London
was there last year. definetly recommend it for anyone thinking about it. By the time it hit 8pm it was already packed. Tubes are normally free till 4am. Ill probably just stay home this time around (Edinburgh)
Re: New Year's Eve in London
I'll probably be at home watching on tv as usual, but if you go have a good time :)

You got Edinburgh's hogmanay to celebrate, don't need to go anywhere else.Is it really better than London's new year eve?

The weather is annoying as well as my exam's revision. Shall go or not to go? lol I am really up for it but mixed thoughts.

London has the better fireworks - but we beat them in everything else ;)
Re: New Year’s Eve in London
I think they don’t do that bad either, I watch both live on tele at a time. Don’t forget Edinburgh celebrates the largest event in the world. ![]()
Re: New Year’s Eve in London
The fireworks in London were breath taking.
I was so excited, my dream had come true.
I absolutely love the fact that the end was so completely epic, an unforgettable experience. :rotato:
Re: New Year’s Eve in London
i decided last minute to go to the london ones lol. mates idea. rings me up literally the night before. who knows i might have even ran into you ![]()
Re: New Year’s Eve in London
You have been through, you know how it was ,I can’t say here haha. Who knows may be I had pushed you to get my way. ![]()
Goshhh, never ever faced such a huge crowd in my life, blahhh, pinch, punch, push
Loved the Amir khan’s amplifier bit when all Asians went crazy.
For how long did you wait?
Re: New Year’s Eve in London
got there at 10ish. we where on the opposite side off the embankment. Standing on the waterloo side. (next to shell building). There were some characters. One gora was wasted and was singing kal ho na ho. The fobs are something else when they get a few drink in them lmao. How long did you wait?? And did you leave straight after fireworks??
Re: New Year’s Eve in London
You guys went late ,I shall say you got there at perfect time.I am sure, you stayed there afterwards? We got there around 8pm , it was getting busy, with in an hour time, it got fully packed. We were at Embankment down the road opposite of Big Ben. Some Italians joined us and one group on our side didn’t stop dancing ,they were Asians from E.London. The bottle of wine was charm in their hands to keep themselves warm and cheerful rather us we moan and get frustrated.
Luckily, we had found place to sit . The wait was really long for nearly 4 hours but it was fun. The worse part was getting to the underground station, arghhh. We left straight away because mates told that it will get worse. Later on, it started raining . Overall, it was a great night in London when you eat at Dixy around 3am at Finchley road.
Did someone spill their wine bottle on ya or you were lucky?
My question to you,are you going there next year? ![]()
Re: New Year’s Eve in London
yep. didnt wanna wait around too long and didnt wanna get there too late. Yeah hung around for a bit. Not for too long but cuz we had quite a trek back to the hotel. Dixy at 3 in the morning?? haha i did that last year. went with cousins last year. Some french arab guy and a group of desi girls decided to join our group lol (this time i mean, it was me and 2 of my mates). Was fun. Hung around with them afterwards. No one spilt anything on me but i walked into a corner shop and some drunkie knocked 6 wine bottles off the shelf. At least tubes are free all night so thats good. We made the mistake of assuming it would die down afterwards. I might actually go next year - start my own tradition. If i do it would be my third consecutive year :D. Yourself??
p.s There was one chinese guy with a bottle of rum in one hand and a copy of fifty shades of grey in the other ![]()
Re: New Year’s Eve in London
I had bought my train ticket already in the afternoon , hanged around in Ilford , had lunch there. The buses were fully packed once we came out of the under ground. A lot of people were going mad after drinking , this french family kept swearing what is this f— country, don’t they have extra stations since they know this happens each year buhaha
We give hard times to Europeans. About next year, Yes/No,I don’t know.If any of my cousin agrees to give us lift from Central London right after the fireworks I don’t mind otherwise don’t want to go through the same Sh!t again, lol. Also, if more friends join it is more fun.
Looking forward to Hogmanay next year or a year after. ![]()
Re: New Year’s Eve in London
the fobs think theyre tough shiyaatt lol. I ripped into one. He had soo much oil in his air, partitioned and everything. Was like to him “which gay bar did you walk into??” yep its pretty insane. Hogmanay i could do anytime being in Edinburgh and all. Bear in mind you have to get tickets. If you come up and need any company im at ur service :D. Are you familair with an area called maidenhead?? we were staying there - which was a nightmare. On the way back up we missed our flight so had to pay an extra fee to get onto the next one Lol
Re: New Year's Eve in London
Sounds like you both had a good time. Looked awesome on TV. Inshallah I will go one year!

I am sure he was a European? I have been to Edinburgh already, the surprising thing was the beach there,I wasn't expecting it. Mostly people I know are in Glasgow ,for Hogmanay need to stay at least for 3 days since it 'll be a long journey to Scotland. Is it really worse like London? I mean the crowd ?

I used to watch on TV each year ,it was my dream to be there live one day and I was there, happy . :) Surprised , you haven't been there before?
