Re: New VC announced, Mr Butt./ Rebellion in team.
Whether or not Butt deserved to become the VC is a moot point. Its not for the players to decide who becomes the VC. They just have to live with whatever decisions are made by the board (whether good or bad). I mean, I dont like Dhoni becoming VC either in place of time-tested Yuvraj, but nobody in the team is protesting openly. That is not to say that Indian team is great by any means - just a tad bit more professional.
Dont know about that - I mean, whats the difference between this and the Indian players meeting Pawar to insist on a foreign coach ? Can say that its not for the players to decide who becomes the coach - they have to live with whatever decisions are made by the board.
I was OK with that and I am OK with this - no different from the regular "feedback" that happens in any professional services firm, either behind the scenes or openly. If the end goal is the success of the organization, you do want to have this kind of feedback. Ideally, the employer (in this case the Board) would have done their homework and solicited this input before making the announcement. If that didnt happen (and it doesnt look like it happened here), its their fault.
