i have a question regarding shirt lengths. i’m not exactly sure what my size is, cuz i have varying sizes in my closet according to the piece that i’m buying. i’m a little under 5’7" … and my sizes range from an XS to an M … and from an 8 to a 10 …
it’s quite annoying as well .. and becuz of this i can never buy online 
… some have too short arm-length, or aren’t small enough at the waist, and too tight around the hip .. crazy … does anyone else have this problem too?
anyways … shirt length … when i get a long shirt made … it kinda dangles around everywhere … and doesn’t deem very practical then … (trauma of a random child pulling at my shirt at a wedding, while i was trying to balance my plate full of food, and kick him off at the same time 
)
was my shirt too long??? what is considered a normal long shirt? how many inches longer from the knees?
also where do your shirt chaak (the side slits) normally begin from?

^ shirt lengths vary with fashion. these days, shirts are quite long- maybe 4 or 5 inches above your ankle? basically, very little of your bottom bit (pant/churidar/shalwar) shows.
last year, shirts were super high and hit around the knee or slightly above it.
so there's no standard really. chaakein usually start at the hip, i believe, but could go a couple of inches lower- whatever you're comfortable with because of course, the higher the chaak, the more your legs will show when you sit down, walk around etc.
as for your trauma, blame it on the brat, not the kameez lol
