man the point wasnt who has the highest income, the point is most pakistanis in the forum keep on saying we dont need these low paying jobs. But in reality they are atleast 4-5 times more then the avg. gdp/capita of india and pakistan.

Regarding gdp/capita i just searched on some sites and they did show pakistan's gdp/capita more then that of india, My mistake.

In term of ppp/capita though, india has more then pakistan, because since the economy is bigger and more competitive an avg. indian can buy more for 1 dollar then one can in pakistan.

CIA and the Indian government use different methods for calculating economic indicators. The figure provided by CIA is inaccurate. Moreover, I think the GoI would know its statistics better then any foreign institution. Check with the 2005 Economic Survey of India, for the proper figures.

As for wikipedia, I won't even bother commenting:D
