The first person that needs to be ousted out of the country or thrown in jail (I'd prefer the latter) is Mr. 10%-40% Zardari saahib. Throw Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif (talk about a misnomer...) in as well.
They should NOT have been allowed to return to the country. Zardari should have been given 10 days to deal with his wife's funeral and then told that he either leaves or he gets put under arrest again. Shahbaz shouldn't be allowed to breathe anymore, what with all the human rights violations, murders, and now all these riots and burnings he's been responsible for.
This nonsense needs to end. A leader of a political party dies, and in any NORMAL country, people mourn, and move on with their affairs. No one burns down buses, and ambulances, and shops, and banks. This is absolutely barbaric, and the people who are responsible - the government is pinning it on Shabaz and Zardari parties - need to be arrested and punished very severely - i.e. pay for all the damages and spend some 10-15 years in prison.

In a country like Pak, who to decide who is or isnt guilty?
He came back for the funeral, which is understandable, and if the government had simply been smart and allowed for him to return for PURPOSES OF THE FUNERAL, it would have been tolerated. He does not need to stay in the country.
What I'm going to enjoy watching is the Bhutto family fued breaking out once again.

Zardari has a lot on his plate, yet all he sees is the cash box.
actually china is a country still under dictatorship and yet its well on its way to being a super power. and advanced asian countries like korea and taiwan went very long periods under military rule and yet today can be classified as devoloped countries. and even in western countries like u.s. and uk, universal sufferage did not become a rule until much after elections started being held. other western countries like spain and greece had to go through large periods of military rule before transitioning to democracy.
the appointment of zardari as the head of ppp and the silence in the press over his track record clearly reaffirms that media is two faced in reporting facts. the behaviour of media is a good indication of the biggest policy mistake of musharraf. pakistani society is not ready for freedom and musharraf completely misundertood this. its because of musharraf that today politicians and media are openly undermining the safety and stability of pak which needs two-faced leaders in the mold of zia or bhutto in order to function properly.
I have been an advocate of democracy in this forum.....but the events of last one week have made me think again on my stance.....if democracy means we elect criminals again and again....and likes of Altaf Hussain, PPP Sindhis, and criminal Nawaz or chor chaudhries are the only leaders who will continue to come back again and again.....exploit and instigate people to harm others....it's not the best option...
This politics of hate.....is the only politics which is played in our country....
Perhaps politics should banned in this country for the time being.....as through political process we continue to bring criminal/corrupt/hate politicians.....exploiting religion/ethnicity as the basis of hate...for their own hunger or power...
I agree with you King Faisal....perhaps for the time being we should evolve a system like China....and concentrate on educating and civlizing our nation....
