Multan was a state/Province before Sikh occupation, Later on Britisher changed into a division,

This map has surprised me and I offer all of you to comment.
It is more surprising to see the foolish acts of Yahya regime just before the elections of 1970.
New Provinces When West Pakistan was dissolved, the divisions were regrouped into four new provinces. Gradually over the late 1970s, new divisions were formed; Hazara and Kohat divisions were split from Peshawar Division; Gujranwala Division was formed from parts of Lahore and Rawalpindi divisions; Dera Ghazi Khan Division was split from Multan Division; Faisalabad Division was split from Sargodha Division; Sibi Division was formed from parts of Kalat and Quetta divisions; Lasbela District was transferred from Karachi Division to Kalat Division; Makran Division split from Kalat Division. The name of Khairpur Division was changed to Sukkur Division.

Thanks for posting this, I never saw this map before, a lot of damage has been done because of change in this map. No division/district manipulations should be allowed, I wish such ‘divisions’ to be done only for administrative purpose and not for political strengthening/weakening of a party.

I have another news ,someway related to this topic.
The grand Loya Jirga, at Peshawar attended by political leadership, tribal elders from FATA, religio-political leadership, elders, ulema, representatives of journalists, human rights organisations and bar associations, demanded to make FATA a separate province.
What a positive move.
Salute to JI first time in my life,who managed this.
(I have voted for them once while living in Karachi but that was not ‘Hub e Ali’)

That will be an excellent move, I hope a referendum or some quick way be employed so sensible people in FATA can lead the way out of this mess and FATA can be fully integrated into Pakistan :k:
