that might not happen atleast in the short-term if by some miracle Pakistan do well in the world cup and (conservative) Inzi stays at the helm for a while yet :)

^ inzi will retire from ODI one way or another after WC... there is no doubt about that. Depending upon the performance of Pak team in WC lies his future in test cricket.

441 runs in 6 innings avg = 110.25 ( 2 100s n 1 50)
Fawad Alam (KhiD) - 22 years old
315 runs in 6 innings - avg = 78.75 (1 100 n 2 50s)
Khalid Latif (KhiD) - 22 years old
264 runs in 6 innings - avg = 66.00 (2 100s)
Shahid Yosuf (Slk) - 21 years old
261 runs in 6 innings - avg = 43.50 (3 50s)
Bowling
Zohaib Khan (Psr) - 23 years old
left slow arm orthodox (18 wicket at an avg of 11.27)
Fawad Alam (KhiD) - 22 years old
left slow arm orthodox (14 wicket at an avg of 18.14)
Akhtar Ayub (Rwp) - 20 years old
right arm fast medium (8 wickets at an avg of 23.12)
These guys have been performing quite regulary in domestic , lets hope inshallah they make it to the top level.

I don't like the attitude of PCB in case of selecting those dumb players time and again. OK ...Hasan ..Misbha ...Faisal and much more like 'em can be great at domestic level ..or say in English club but they seriously lack International stamina. They are not talented as Asim Kamal is but he still is sitting outside just how amzing it is that what they require is with them but they have bin biased against certain players.

Thanx for saving time yaar, i was going to post exactly the same list since i was looking at ABN AMRO scoreboard just a while ago.
Fawad Alam is a MUST, he should be drafted in without any delay, he is not only one of the top batsmen but he has also taken 14 wickets in the 6 games he has played so far at an average of 18.0. he has been best batsmen in domestic for last 2-3 seasons.
Khurram Manzoor should go with A team for time being, has scored massive hundreds opening the inning (163 not out and 133 not out).
Khalid Latif has been in very good form as well, should be considered for academy team.
Also heard that Zohaib Khan is very talented left arm spinner, has taken 18 wickets in 6 games in ABN-AMRO gold league.

Shahid Yousuf's batting style is similar to Inzamam and he looks very elegant and exciting to watch, has been disappoiting in domestic this year but improved in recent ABN-AMRO cup.
Asad Ali of Faisalabad is very good young fast bowler, one for future but there are many ahead of him at this stage.

Lets hope that these guys will get to shine at the top level. I just think it's very difficult to keep guys like Fawad Alam out of the team for a long time . At this very young age he has shown great potential and has been consistant for past few series now. He should be drafted in the team rather then making another Pakistani Hussey ( e.g. are Hassan Raza, Misba-ul-Haq)

the PCB should have some 1 check out KK :D a lot of great suggestions here...and fawad alam must definatley be tried out...some really good stats and if he can handle int. pressure, well, he could be playing for the enxt 10-12 years easily...
PCB should bring in players who can last...younger players who can forge 10-12 year careers. if good enuff...it was done in the past, why not now??

Well, this thread has nothing to do with WC.Most teams go through rebuilding process after the WC as senior players retire.
Afaq Raheem is another one who has done very well at domestic level for Islamabad, he is 21 year old opener from Mirpur.
After playing 17 One dayers, he is averaging 60.14 with 4 100's and 3 50's.
His first class average is impressive too, he is averaging around 38 in 30 games with 5 centuries and 11 50's.
I think our future is definitely bright, current squad is talented and only Inzi will retire before the next WC but there are enough players who can be groomed but i think Fawad Alam should be drafted in straight after the WC.

Does Fawad Alam has any source/backers in PCB/establishment? If not he will not get many chances. He already has a handicap of belonging to Karachi.
