Re: New Moms Shopping Saga

Yesterday I went to the mall to get some clothes for my daughter. I saw the cutest clothes for little babies  If only I knew the gender :frowning:
Can we share stuff we buy for our older kids? Or only new babies?

Btw I’m a cheap mommy and will usually only buy clothes off sales racks for my kid :stuck_out_tongue: Save a whole lot of money!! I mean I bought this gorgeous dress from Target yesterday for $10 only. Was on 50% off :aisha: And got the cutest little sandals for $7!!! On 70% off … wooooot

Re: New Moms Shopping Saga

i think it will only boost our shopping hormones

Re: New Moms Shopping Saga

Ok I'm gonna take pics and upload them :D Will be back in a few!!

Re: New Moms Shopping Saga

wow wendy…clothes are so expensive here in middleeast…even on sales

Re: New Moms Shopping Saga

US is awesome in that sense :D

Re: New Moms Shopping Saga

^i so agree. My sisters brought me some onsies for my upcoming baby from baby gap and they were so cheap! Canada is really expensive , and the Middle East... well depends on where you go. you can find a lot of unbranded stuff that is good quality for cheap, but the bigger brands come at hefty prices.

I really haven't done any shopping except for diapers and a baby bag. Im with my parents for now, will be flying back to my husband after delivery so theres no point getting too much stuff. but i don't think i will be buying a whole lot of uneccesary stuff later either. just the essentials. my sister lent me a lot of stuff from her pregnancy so I'm good for now.

Re: New Moms Shopping Saga

Ok just to let you guys know, I do buy clothes from Gap and baby Zara etc for special occasions. To me, it just doesn’t make sense to spend too much money on clothes my kid’s only gonna wear a few times.
And I always buy nice clothes and don’t just buy stuff cause it’s cheap. But I always wait for stuff to go on sale before I purchase them, I can’t justify paying full price for the same dress when I know it’ll be on sale in a month or two. But that’s just me.

Got these yesterday for $7!!! :aisha:

Re: New Moms Shopping Saga

Also got these for $7

$9 for this dress which was originally $18 a few weeks ago

$4.50 for this jean dress

Got these 2 party dresses a few months ago for $10 each, originally priced at $25 (I think)

Re: New Moms Shopping Saga

you are LUCKY!!!

I dont even know where to start from. Onsies maybe? :hmmm: or the sheets? :konfused:

one thing that i am sure of, are these TINY hand embroidered kurtas for my baby. The typical multani karhayi ones

Re: New Moms Shopping Saga

Got these in feb or march of this year when the stores were putting all their winter wear on sale

This coat for $5!!! Can you believe it? :aisha: From Target.

This hooded sweater for $10 from H&M, originally priced at 19.95.

Re: New Moms Shopping Saga

awesome shopping wendy. Isnt it all just so exciting :D

Re: New Moms Shopping Saga

I love babygap for shopping. They always have great deals and the cutest dresses. For onesies and rompers I would recommend Carters and even Babies R Us has good sales on those. Make a list of what you need and buy accordingly. It's very easy to go overboard and end up with more than you need. Onesies and sleeper suits are best for 0-6 months. They're comfortable and baby can move about easily. I got gifted lots of really cute dresses in the 0-6 month range but I hardly used them because they're just not practical. I did put them on when I would take her out but would need to change her soon. Sometimes I would put them on just to at least get a one time use out of them and take a pic!

For winter I used the full sleeved onesies and matching cotton pants. Babygap has the best onesies for winter time.

Re: New Moms Shopping Saga

LOOVVVE them both

and look at the price!! you robber you!!!

Re: New Moms Shopping Saga

I bought this gorgeous furry coat for a friends daughter in Jan for $30 from baby gap .. originally priced at $60 :hayaa: They are pricy but their sales are awesome!! Also bought a gorgeous sweater for my daughter last year for soooo cheap .. will share a pic.

Re: New Moms Shopping Saga

Believe it or not Wendy, babygap has really good deals online. I usually buy stuff on sale too and babygap usually has really good sales online. I just ordered 6-7 sleeping suits for her yesterday for $7.50 each!

Re: New Moms Shopping Saga

I shopped till I dropped.. I bought this summer clothes last year at the end of summer sale... I paid less but that also meant, I was sometimes wrong with the size! I dont plan to do that anymore, I will shop when needed! but yes I have to admit I love end of season sales at gap, childrens place and gymboree and buy tons of clothes from there!!! I need to have another boy just so I can justify spending all that money on baby's clothes and shoes!!!

Re: New Moms Shopping Saga

I shopped for my baby dayghter just before she was born and after she was born i pciked up lots of bargains in the monsoon sale in january just before she was botn bu ended up shopping mire before coming pak i have spent so mch money on her clothes til date i never botherd with price as she is my frst and didnt want to justgt her stuff becuase it was refuced but bow when i look back i regret it, they so quickly and she had so many outfitd thats she only end up wearing them once or two twice. Its a little upsetting aswell u spend so much for thm to o ly wear it once!

LOVE all your shopping, ladies!

i usually shop for the kid at Joe Fresh (watch out, stateside, you're getting it very soon and you are going to LOVE it!) and Baby Gap. BG has lots of sales online so i buy lots of his things online off their website.

i also love Zara Kids and they've been having a great sale lately so i'm going to hit it up.

canada isn't that bad- you just have to know where to shop! ;)
