Exactly, thats why this is now being investigated. The Soldiers responsible for this will be court martialed. US General Patton was reprimanded in WWII for slapping a soldier in Italy and he publically apologized. US forces who participated in the Mi Lai Massacare were court martialled, and same will happen here. These are 18 and 19 year old kids who are not designed nor trained for this kind of warfare. These kinds of things happen and will continue to happen.

If they are not designed/trained for this warfare then what the hell are they doing over there? Why not send someone who is trained for this purpose? That shows the failure of the military and government in understanding the nature of its actions, possible consequences and ground reality.

hmmm, no military is trained for this kind of warfare?

you cant have a highly disciplined, highly armed military in low level combat

it just doesnt work

look at Napolean's Army in Spain, or German Army in Yugoslavia, America in Vietnam, USSR in Afghanistan, Israel in Southern Lebanon, Gaza and West Bank..

Militaries are designed to attack other militaries and not engage in low level warfare...

This is banter of convenience. Arabs, and the Islamic world, call the terrorists freedom fighters, rebels, patriots defending their homeland, and pious religious warriors.

Looks like someone has forgotten the Afghan war when some "terrorists" (not with current label) were freedom fighters and heroes against USSR, now when the roles are switched they are called differently, I wonder why.

Who are you talking about? Americans made a huge mistake, and that was allowing the ISI to be the arbiter of who gets what during the war. They were Pakistan's pretty boys, and Americans just ate up.

Bin Laden was never an American hero, he never met any one in the CIA, and he never travelled to the US. To the contrary, the only people that met him, ever, were the ISI and his cohorts confirm this.

The point is that when anyone fights for YOUR cause, he becomes YOUR hero while the receiving party will call him terrorist (or any other similar name you want to use in its place), now if any Iraqis or Bin Laden followers are fighting coalition in Iraq they are heroes for some while terrorists for some etc. etc.

In case you failed to listen to leader of your own camp there are several types of fighters in Iraq i.e. Iraqis (Sunnis, Shias, Kurds etc.), foreigners and terrorists (followers of OBL). Targets of each type is different, some target coalition military, some target almost anyone “foreign” etc. I am sure you are pretending to be blind for the moment and brushing everyone either “with us or against us”.
