**i'm a very conservative Muslim alHamdolillah but i do agree that if there is a better way to kill an animal, it must be used...stunning the animal is by NO means killing it before you run the knife over the animal's juggler. in Canada we did that too before the Halaal meat shops were available in cities. i dun wanna see this happening to the animals...watch this video plz.

the painless killing of the animal should be the goal of all Muslims as well.**

There country......they can make whatever laws they want.......muslims have a problem....they should move out......simple.

Nope, Muslims/Jews who are residing 'legally' (or citizen of that country) in that country have legal right to fight against the law, its THEIR country too, solution to every problem is not leaving the area/country.

Well.....the parliament passed the law........its a secular democracy......whats their to fight now??

The law can be changed again. As I understand the law bans halal and kosher slaughter. They can still import meats killed by religious methods.

The Netherlands is surrounded by countries where halal and kosher slaughter is legal, and EU trade rules means that it is effortless to import this meat.

So there will be virtually no impact except for halal/kosher businesses in the Netherlands going out of business, and the price of halal and kosher meat rising slightly to account for the transportation cost of bringing halal and kosher meat in from Germany.

Is private slaughter on a farmhouse still allowed. If it is then there is the loophole in the law ? Many Muslims who live in small towns of USA where they cannot find halal meat , they go to those farm houses and get their zabiha halal , chicken , goats , lambs etc.
So can Muslims and Jews of Netherlands if it is still allowed.

Who does public slaughter on the road anyway? I don't think that is allowed in the US either!

It is a blanket ban on all sorts of slaughter employing those methods.
