I’ve already seen Lost but yes, it’s really good. The ending of season 4 is pretty cool. Season 3 got away from them a little but 4 was good.
I’m watching White Collar, Sons of Anarchy and Arrested Development. Also, the occasional movie. Netflix US is better but I think the difference is less now (the US version still has more, no doubt). There are some movies that are available on the Canadian one (X Men First Class, The Italian Job) that aren’t available on the American one.
I use UnblockUS. You pay $5/month to use their DNS servers to get access to various US sites like Netflix, Hulu, Pandora etc. It's not a proxy so the speed is much better. The setup instructions are easy if you're on a PC, and they have instructions for your PS3 etc as well.
Sara: It's good if you don't mind watching what's there. You won't find all of the latest mainstream blockbusters (a lot are there though) on there but there are a lot of good documentaries, a lot of tv shows, and movies that are a few years old. You can try a month for free. I don't think they have DVD service in Canada but I would like it for Blu-Rays since Blockbuster is pretty much dead.
so is it worth getting Netflix? Dvds or streaming?
Sara, try the 1 month free subscription and see if you like it and then go for there. That's what I did. I used only the streaming service, and, all in all, found it quite convenient and good. But ultimately I decided not to continue with it because I already have cable at home and we have an AWESOME public library, which means I can check out up to 10 DVDs at a time of TV series, documentaries, and movies, including all the latest ones, rent FREE.
