Neighbor's wireless.

How can I start knocking the doors of my neighbors and ask their permission to use their wireless , how can I find out that which neighbor owns which network ? I would I know if which neighbor has unprotected wireless network. It will look stupid if I start knocking the door of a neighbor and seek permission and either that neighbor does not have wireless network or network is protected. So many questions .

do as what I do. when I find an open network, I take my head out of window and shout “bhai ye kis ka signal hai, istemaaal kar loun?” (in urdu of course). I repeat it three times, and when I get no response, I use it. It’s called ijtehaad I suppose. :o
