Those who follow Mehreen Jabbar are probably aware of MJ’s new project- Neeyat. She’s been shooting for it for over 40 days now. Following are the details:
Drama: Neeyat
Director: Mehreen Jabbar
Writer: L. Pontius
Starring: Ahsan Khan, Mahira Khan, Deepti Gupta, Humayun Saeed, Tania Kazi
I think Adeel hussain was supposed to be in this play but didn’t get his visa in time ( darrrrn)
When is it starting??? Although I would have liked Adeel Hussain in it, I must admit Humayun Saeed is looking rather suave in the pictures......LOL, not sure about Deepti's new fringe...
Just off topic, I have recently watched Vasl because of MJ and wasn't impressed, I thought it was the writer rather than MJ who disappointed... Also it was hard to feel sorry for Ayesha Khan with those "witchie archie brows"... Anyway I really enjoyed reading the threads by some of you 'old Guppies' on Daam and Malaal , especially Dooree and Rukhsarbibi.
^ HEHEHE just read your comment Rabiya. MJ+ Umera's dramas are plain brilliant and I get very emotionally invested in them.
Update on Neeyat!! Shooting completed last week and now MJ has started editing it. Hopefully she'll be done in the next two months. Uff I can't wait!!!
Nice...bit sceptical about inclusion of Humayun Saeed but hopefully Mehreen J will make a difference. When will it air?
I always hated Humayun Saeed (even though I'd never really followed him :p) and THEN Doraha happened. My love for that drama cannot be condensed in one post so I won't get into that but Humayun Saeed's performance in it was simply brilliant!! he and soniya Rehman had an amazing on screen chemistry. I started respecting him as an actor after that drama.
So have faith in Mehreen!!!! she will make him shine!!
uff Mehreen if you are reading this PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE juldi say editing khutam karain and give us Neeyat!! LOVE YOU!!!
I just noticed that neeyat isnt by umera! I googled this pontius guy and apparently he is an american. Does he write the screenplay in english and someone else writes the dialogues in urdu? Also can you all tell me where you will be watching this, i.e tv or website. I presume it starts on in pakistan before usa and uk.
