from my wedding: this was on rang day but can also be used for mehndi function- flowers for guests!!!
well.. muslims don't really celebrate this but our family people do it for fun only!
When the groom side and the bride side agree on the dates for the wedding they have a week before the wedding to play dholki and do other rasams - the rang day is the first day the both families start the celebration and the groom side come to the brides house to throw Rang (water colour/powder colour) a little like holi but we dont celebrate holi.
Our families tend to bring along water guns, water baloons, and whatever they could find to throw at the other party. I hope that makes sense. take the pics and have a fun day basically!

MIRRORED MEHNDI THAALS (New Idea!)

I have an exclusive idea for a MEHNDI THAALS for my sis wedding.
My plan:

Mirror PLATES (lightweight) and have dangled garland effect with small mirror coming down from the side of the plates to make a very very shiny effect on the mehndi night -
having candles with different candle glasses (small) and have a large piece in the middle…*
Mirror Garland - square, round, rectangle, oval, snowflake, rainbow, and more
what do you think of this idea? If you seen anything similar or exact please send a copy image!

aww we had this last july at my cuz wed in pak square mirror glass fresh rose petals sum silver glitter glue and other stuff luks unique n elegant x

yup, i've seen this done- you can also use mirrored trays or just small mirrors with lovely frames. candles look especially pretty on mirrors- they reflect off them in a really pretty way!
