it will be a process in pk, my mamu will act as her “walli”/guardian, but we are scared that they start demanding money or things from our side. The mehr can go to the darkest side of i dunno were, but the most important thing for us is that they don’t start demanding money to claim things/money/from us

I’m not being sarcastic, it’s a serious question..what can happen if they demand money/things? Are you legally/Islamically obligated to give in to that demand if you ask for divorce?
