I’m in the market to fix two problems that I’ve been noticing lately…After I prime and prep my face for make-up, I’ve noticed that some areas on face have visibly more open pores than other areas and the area under my eyes seem to show some fine lines which look more prominent after applying prepping that area (foundation, concealer, powder)…
So my question is what are your recomendations for:
a good pore minimizer
under-eye smoother
Drug store products, high-end products or home remedies, or even some make-up techniques, suggest anything that fixes the problem…Thanks!!
Usually primers have light reflecting particles that give the illusion or larger pores. I have tried Clinique's pore minimizer and it did nothing at all..
Some of them contain light-reflecting particles..not all of them! Use them girls! NO one is going to come to u with a magnifying-glass to check u’re pores.
thanks suhaina...I'm going to try that..ofcourse, in summers...I can't imagine doing makeup without primer so like Gina said, I hope I don't see anything magnifying around me :)
for undereyes, you need to keep it as light as possible - no foundation. personally, i find the best thing is light liquid concealer, rather than a creamy one. on top of that a highlighter, like Dior Skinflash; I find it settles much less into fine lines than YSL touche ecalt. this should provide all the coverage you need without being heavy. try to be light handed with the powder around the eye area too, just the lightest dusting.
^ hmmm..I think the creamy concealer is the culprit for my problem 'coz I tend to notice the fine lines more when I apply the concealer...I already use and love Dior Skinflash...I think time to get a different under-eye concealer... So, which liquid concealer do you suggest?
brand doesn't matter too much, it's just for a little bit of coverage as the skinflash and then powder should do the rest of the work. just find something not heavy and most importantly a good colour match. i use MAC select cover-up (NW if your foundation is NC) but i know a lot of people who can't use it as none of the shades match well.
What you need to do first is but some eye cream under your eyes and then apply the eye concealer on or I started using is Bare Minerals and it is the best makeup in the world. I use to use those really expensive makeup and I tried Bare Minerals and i will never go back to those other ones at all. You can use the loose foundation as your concealer for your dark circles or other part of your face that has any blemishes.
To get smaller pores is when your washing your face both at night and in the morning always first wash your face with hot or warm water and when you get it cleaned and all of the cleanser is off your face, then at the very last min. splash some very cold water on your face. The hot water opens the pores of your face and it allows you to clean and get ride of all the dirt with your face wash and then the cold water will shrink your pores so that no more dirt and oil get in there, and after some time you will notice that your pores are much smaller or not noticeable at all.
