Well said P. I envision true revival as the proverbial " nigar khannaey ki ronakain bahal" type scene tapping into the enormous talent Lollywood retains despite its sinking ship status for the last two decades. We still have musical maestros who have given us gems from movies like Choorian and Majajan. Naseebo Lal and Azra Jahan’s earthy vocals that very much represent the thousands of year worth of musical legacy of our land. World class acts like Mustafa Qureshi, Shafqat Cheema, Shaan, Resham etc and no one can do item numbers quite like Nargis. Plus thousands of technicians and unsung artists who have given their whole lives to their crafts. What these individual powerhouses of talents need is a platform, some new age marketing and essentially big budget technically slick productions. Hats off to Farjad Nabi and Meenu Gaur for tapping into some of the talent with Zinda Bhaag. For me true revival of cinema would be a revival stemming from Lollywood and not fancy shmancy productions catering to the ‘burgers’ of our country.
