i am writing a paper for my english class and the topic is “arranged marriages are better than love marriages” in this paper i am going to talk about how arranged marriages are done and why they are better, and how there are less chances of gettinig divorce etc etc.
i need a unique title for this paper but i can’t think of anything good. all i can come up with are some generic title. like “Arranged marriages. practical way of getting married”
please suggest a nice and unique title.
Can you tell us about the key take-aways that you've come up with in your discourse... may be paste the Conclusions section of your paper.
On the top of my head, just based on your theme, how about something like:
Arranged Marriages: A Durable Communion of Practicality and Compatibility
my conclusion is that the arranged marriages are the solution to high divorce rate in america. people divorce their spouse because after few years of living together they discover they don't like each other due to different reasons like physical attraction, money etc.
in arranged marriages people keep that in mind so they marry their spouse for their moral values, family, education etc.
i like your suggestion it is exactly what my points are.

ur supporting the idea of arrange marriage..which is okay..but ur supporting points dont really support 'Arrange M..."

well guys... it's not so much about the actual conclusions... this is a "position" paper and I'm sure people can take the opposite view and many do - I actually do too...
In papers like these, its the thought process that is key... whether you have engaged the reader's interest through logical reasoning and how well founded your "position" is.
Anecdotes aren't really all that reliable anyways and that's what we base our everyday opinions on.
Hey girl, check this book "Families and Marriage" by David Olsen & John Defrain; they have a chapter on arrange marriages, dating-american style marriages, and internet dating and match making. Olsen and DeFrain, both are family therapist and professors. They have done some good research on this whole parent-arrange marriage, dating, and match making services. Try looking up for their articles and use them as reference. They will give support to your argument with some authentic research.

my paper is actually better than what i have written in there. at least my teacher is ok with it and that’s all i need :halo:.
i am taking 5 classes right now, 3 of them required turning in a paper, sociology class wants a paper addressing social issue, psychology class need something that have something to do with people’s psychology, i am thinking about just using this one topic for all 3 of my classes, because i have done so much research and have all the material, what’s the point of waisting time in doing research for more topics.
what do you guys think??
